Magento Connect 2.0

Magento Connect 2.0

Important: This version adds many new features and changes how the extension handles order states in Magento. When upgrading from a previous version, please make absolutely sure to test the extension thoroughly with your enviroment on a test system before releasing it to production.

New Features:
  • Device Fingerprinting
This feature enables creation and transmission of a device fingerprint for fraud detection purposes. The customers consent for the generation has to be requested beforehand.

  • One Click Checkout for Credit Cards
Enables the customer to store multiple credit cards for one brand and see them in a list for selection in checkout. Only the CVC has to be entered upon selection of the saved payment method.

  • Hosted Tokenization integration
Integrates the Hosted tokenization for alias creation, therefore all payment related details are entered on a site hosted by Ingenico.

  • PCI compliant template handling
There are now additional options for the payment page template for redirect payments. This includes the option to use templates that have been uploaded to Ingenicos secure servers.

  • Subscription manager integration
Using Magentos Recurring profiles Ingenicos Subscription manager has been integrated. This means, subscriptions can be created through the standard Magento checkout. Managing the subscription has to be done from your Ingenico Account though as the webservice functionality is lacking here.

  • Update payment method list
No longer supported payment methods have been removed from the payment method list.

  • Update OpenInvoice for Afterpay
Restrictions and warnings on the OpenInvoice payment method for lacking functionality using AfterPay as aquirer has been removed.

  • Magento API compatibility
Previously it was not possible to capture or refund orders that were using Ingenico payment methods via the Magento API. The extension is now fully compatible to be used with the Magento API.

  • Refactored status handling
Previously it could be confusing if an order using the Ingenico payment methods has been paid or not when just looking at the Magento order status. This has been improved to properly reflect the status of the order in regards to payment.

  • Credit/Debit card split
It is now possible to offer credit and debit cards as seperate payment methods.

  • Request timeout for directlink
A timeout limit for transactions can now be defined.

  • Configurable Hash algorithm
You can now chose the hash algorithm you want to use to generate the request digest. Options are SHA-1, SHA-256 and SHA-512.

  • Rebranding to Ingenico ePayments
The extension has followed the rebrand from Ingenico Payment Services to Ingenico ePayments.

  • Integration OpenInvoice for Austria (OpenInvoiceAT)
The OpenInvoiceAT payment method is now available as payment method in the extension.

  • Masterpass Integration for eCommerce
Masterpass has been added as redirect payment method.

  • Ingenico Flex payment product
The previously available generic payment method has been re-purposed to allow merchants to configure their own payment methods that are not yet integrated in the extension. Unfortunately payment methods requiring special parameters are not supported there.

  • JavaScript errors in checkout with the parameter validation
There was an issue with a missing JavaScript variable or an URL not being available with the parameter validation. This has now been fixed, by integrating the functionality in the Magento standard workflow.

  • Problems with MO/TO (admin) orders and multi stores
Previously alias generation failed for MOTO with specific multi store setups involving store codes in URLs - this is now fixed.

  • Hashing error with additional parameters
With shipping addresses with more then two street address lines there was an issue where it was hashed for the request digest, when it should not have been, resulting in SHASign mismatches with Ingenico. This is now fixed.

  • Resend payment info - Link redirected to wrong store
The link in the resent payment information mail was sending the customer to a wrong store - this is now fixed.

  • Payment status not updated on initial feedback
With some payment methods (such as bank transfer) the customer will see an additional step in the payment process on Ingenico side. The payment feedback has already been send at this point by Ingenico and will now be proplery processed too.

  • Payment methods missing on 100% discount for MO/TO (admin) orders
If a 100% discount was applied on admin orders, the payment method "No payment information required" would not show up with the Ingenico extension installed. This is now fixed.

Magento Connect 2.0

    New Features:

  • Config switch for target enviroment
Previously the gateway urls used to communicate with Ingenico had to be configured by hand. The extension will now offer a simple select field for switching between production or test mode and also offers the option to enter custom gateway urls if necessary.
  • Resend payment informations
As a merchant you now have the option to send an email to customers whose payments failed on Ingenico side (status 0 or 2). The mail will contain a link to Ingenico where the customer has the option to re-enter his payment details in order to recover the order. The Ingenico extension offers customizable mail templates for this feature.
  • Generic payment model
The extension now offers a new payment method that allows the customer to choose the payment method on Ingenico side, basically enabling payments with payment methods that are not yet implemented in the extension itself.
  • Integration of China Union Pay
The extension now offers the China Union Pay payment method in Magento.

  • Bugfixes:

  • Better handling of payments with 3DS cards
Failed payments could result in the order in Magento getting stuck in payment review state in some configurations. This is now handled properly.
  • Improved state/status restriction model
If using Authorization as payment action, the order state/status could not be updated manually anymore. This issue is now fixed.
  • OpenInvoiceDE has missing PM parameter
Due to earlier refactoring, the payment method OpenInvoiceDE no longer transmitted a PM parameter, requiring the customer to choose the payment method on Ingenico side again. The parameter will now be transmitted properly.
  • Missing order confirmation on bank transfer payments
Under some circumstances the order confirmation for orders with bank transfer as payment method were not properly sent. The order confirmation will now always be sent.
  • Fix backend (MO/TO) orders in Enterprise Edition 1.12 and 1.13

  • Improvements:

  • enabled ACL settings for status update button
Added proper ACL settings for the “Update payment status” button.
  • Improvements for OpenInvoiceDE payment method
The payment method can now be configured to be enabled even with discounted carts and will transmit the additional data accordingly.
  • Order state restriction feature now toggleable
The order state restriction feature can now be toggled off in the extension configuration, since it proved problematic for merchants with custom statuses.
