Overview

Meanbee Promote/Share Order

Make use of the Magento order success page to promote your products.   This module adds lists each product in an order with product name, product image, facebook icon and twitter icon.

The Facebook link uses Facebook's like functionality (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/), the twitter link opens up a twitter page with the following in the status box ready to be posted:

"I just bought a $product_name from $shop_name. $product_url"

Either the standard Facebook and Twitter icons can be used, along with counters for number of times shared. Or, optionally, use icons made using CSS3, no images.

Magento Connect 1.0 change

Make use of the Magento order success page to promote your products. This module adds lists each product in an order with product name, product image, facebook icon and twitter icon.

The Facebook link uses Facebook's sharer.php functionality (http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/Facebook_Share), the twitter link opens up a twitter page with the following in the status box ready to be posted:

"I just bought a $product_name from $shop_name. $product_url"

This module also has bit.ly integration in order to shorten the long product url. If this is set the will be a bit.ly link. Find out your API key at http://bit.ly/a/your_api_key.

The Facebook and Twitter icons are made out of 100% HTML and CSS3, no images. These degrade nicely in Internet Explorer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't load page don't respond Tried IE and Chrome both load the first part of the success page till "why not share your...." after that page still loads without ending, high CPU usage and no response :/ I think the extension is good and other also seems to get it running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs some mods but works well otherwise This extension really makes it easy for a customer to share the URL(s) of their purchased products, but as stated by previous reviewers, this extension will only work with the CSS buttons on SSL out of the box. If you want to use the Twitter/Facebook generated buttons, you will have to modify the extension's .phtml files. First you'd have to change the Twitter Javascript URL to "https://". For Facebook, you have to use the like/send button instead. For the Facebook link, replace the Facebook div: <div class="facebook"> <a name="fb_share" type="box_count" share_url="<?php echo $_product->getProductUrl() ?>"></a></li> </div> with this (change data-width as needed): <div class="facebook"> <div class="fb-like" data-href="<?php echo $_product->getProductUrl() ?>" data-width="150" data-layout="box_count" data-show-faces="false" data-send="true"></div> </div> And replace this: <script src="http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share" type="text/javascript"></script> with this: <div id="fb-root"></div> <script>(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1&appId=535027519859855"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));</script> The Twitter and Facebook buttons should now work on SSL.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great extension This extension is exactly what we were looking for. A bit tricky to fix the CSS button. (didn´t like the one that were made as original). To be able to get the extension to work fully you have to use the CSS buttons. But when finished it saved us a lot of work. Thumbs up. // eSNUS

Rated out of 5 by from Note: This extension doesn't work on Chrome with CSS3 icons is set to No. It will work on your dev site where you use http, but when you switch to the live site and the success page is https, then facebook and twitter image buttons don't get pulled in. On Firefox, it does work. On Chrome & http, it does work. Apparent Solution: Set CSS3 to Yes. Then it appears to work on Chrome with the landing page being https.

Rated out of 5 by from When adding more then 3 products, the FB share button doesn't show up. Only the twitter button. Otherwise, looks like a great extension! Thanks so much!

Rated out of 5 by from The Facebook functionallity "share" is an old technique. I changed the code for the "share button" with the "like button" code from Facebook Developers. That worked for me!
