Rated 5 out of 5 by LiveAgent is definitely A MUST GO solution We love the LiveAgent knowledge base, support ticket & live chat sections - and so do our customers. If you are looking for a something that will bring your support on the next level - LiveAgent is definitely A MUST GO solution. January 29, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works perfectly It works perfectly, installation was a breeze. Does as advertised. Small problem is that choosing a different theme has zero effect, the styling has to be done through Magento (which is kind of the point of using fishpig and was explained in the description of the module) and not any wordpress plugin will be working with this setup. Changing layout through the magento admin has no effect, you'll have to do this through the layout xml file. Updates without problem. January 26, 2016

Rated 3 out of 5 by Very limited wp plugin support The extension is amazing in the way it integrates WP into Magento. The downside is that the wp-plugin support is really limited, no shortcodes is available if not sold by the vendor. They do have a small selection of (pricely) add ons but it is really limited. This plugin is great only if you don't need any WP plugin that needs shortcodes. September 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Add-ons but ..... Awesome product? it's working fine with magento and the support is great.. and It's free... but ... extension are a lil bit expensive and they should make a package.. The worst part is with social sharing.. so far you can enable only AddThis and this can slow your website drastically.. They should work on another way to offer social sharing. A blog without social sharing is like a magento without basket .... September 15, 2015

Answer:
Go to magento admin panel, under CATALOG > URL REWRITE MANAGEMENT, simply add custom url rewrite.

On "request path" just add a slash "/" and at "target path" add your wordpress homepage url.

Answer:
To achieve this you should install the Root add-on:

http://fishpig.co.uk/magento/wordpress-integration/root/

This will allow you to remove the /blog/ from all of your blog URLs. It also includes the option to automatically replace your Magento homepage with the homepage of your integrated WordPress blog.

Our website utilizes your extension, and after updating our magento theme, the blog still uses our old theme.

Just wondering if there is a way to update or reimport the magento theme to reflect the changes we made.

Thanks!

Answer:
The integrated blog uses your Magento theme. If you update your Magento theme, these updates will be passed to the blog. If this isn't happening, this means that either things are being cached (try refreshing the cache) or that something isn't configured correctly.

Answer:
To disable comments you have 2 options:

1) Login to your WordPress Admin and select Settings > Discussion. From here you can disable comments globally.
2) Edit a post/page in the WordPress Admin and disable comments for the post/page. If the discussion section isn't displaying, click the 'Screen Options' tab at the top of the page and check the box next to 'Discussion'.

I also recommend upgrading the extension to the latest version.

Your Overview page says:
"Use your Magento theme for your WordPress blog"

I have Wordpress and the extension installed and all appears to be working well but it's still using the default WP theme. Where do I set it to use the Magento theme? I've read through all the documentation on your fishpig site and nowhere is this feature mentioned.

Thank you.

Answer:
yes it is possible:
In order to integrate your wp blog in your Magento instance, you can declare blog.site.com as base_url (secure and|or insecure) in your Magento store.

Before that, you must check in your wp blog if these URLs like: catalog, checkout, admin, API, etc.. it's not already used.

You can retrieve every routings parameters in app/{pool}/{namespace}/{module_name}/etc/config.xml in <frontend><routers><args<frontName> section

Finally, you have to dump your wp database data in your Magento database.

You can also add a prefix to tables used by fishpig.

Hi,
We are using your extension in order to integrate Magento with WP,

Our old blog was on blog.xyz.com and the main site on xyz.com and we would like to keep it that way.

Is it possible to do it?
