No tab?

Installed this but cant see the tab under system which apparently I should be able to ... its there in magento connect, but cant see it in admin
Asked by: clickgenpro
Had the same problem. You need to clear your cache. If you have additional caches installed (APC, MEMCACHED) log out, flush them, log back in.

Blank Screen under System->Scheduler->Schedule Configuration

I disabled compilation, cleared cache, installed this extension using Magento Connect, cleared the cache, logged out, delted /var/cache/*, logged in again, enabled compilation and logged out logged in again. When I click System->Scheduler->Schedule Configuration, I get a blank page with "Scheduler is working. (Last execution: 2 minute(s) ago)" in a green notification box at the top of the screen. Did I miss something in the install procedure?
Asked by: markb01
I had the same problem and finally, I find out that it is because of the AOE Scheduler module is currently disable. So, I solve it by go to System->Configuration->(under tab Advanced)->Advanced Enable Aoe_Scheduler module and save config. Then the Schedule Configuration is displayed properly.

No heartbeat task found. Check if cron is configured correctly.

Just installed the plugin and when we go to Job Configurations it shows an error msg "No heartbeat task found. Check if cron is configured correctly." What does this mean and what do we need to do in order to resolve this.
Asked by: niteshg231
Seeing as nobody answered this and I came across this issue I'll post an answer that worked for me: Go to System>Scheduler>Instructions. Follow the instructions to add the new configuration, then flush the Magento Cache followed by a log out and back in.

AOE Scheduler is rated NaN out of 5 by 96.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful extension. One of the most useful extensions ever built. Got it up and running with Magento 1.9.0.1. Not sure if it will work with 1.9.2.2 as I haven't upgraded yet. Based on the recent reviews, it doesn't work with the latest Magento package. I hope the developer will find time to update the extension. :D

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T UPGRADE THIS EXTENSION AOE Scheduler was working perfectly until I upgraded to the latest version, now I can't get it to do anything. "No heartbeat task found. Check if cron is configured correctly. (See Instructions)" Everything is configured correctly. Cron is running on the server. Something is broken in the latest update of this extension on Magento Connect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine, but some problems in the new Magento Version 1.9.2.2 Works fine, but some problems in the new Magento Version 1.9.2.2 ... the last version here is very old, newer version is von github: See: https://github.com/AOEpeople/Aoe_Scheduler

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incompatibility We were using this extension smoothly, but after a fresh installation of Magento CE 1.9.2.1 the following error appears on Magneto Connect: 'community/Aoe_Scheduler: Unknown cipher in list: TLSv1' If this can be solved it would be great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suggestion for next release Excellent module, i only want to do a suggestion for next release. In other cron modules i have seen a more easy way to program the cronjobs. The default expressions can be difficult to understand. http://tinyurl.com/qyhvxhd

Rated 5 out of 5 by from must have extension! As of 1.9.1 and newer, crons are essential and this module helps a lot managing them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Default install for Magento Just popping another review in here, this extension is really great and is a default recommendation for people to install on any Magento sites. The same team make some other really useful extensions, check them out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly helpful I originally installed this so I could disable and enable Magento's cron jobs because the processor was getting hammered on every run, including spikes of 50% processor utilization every time the script fired. This ended up being difficult to do, however, because as soon as I switched from Magneto's cron.sh to AOE Scheduler's cron script, processor use dropped from spikes of 50% utilization down to an average of 5-10% on every run. Simply amazing. I think part of the reason is how it filters the cron jobs at the database level - much more efficient than the Magento defaults. I need to dig through the code on GitHub a bit more to fully understand all the ways this improved our performance, but for now I'm just really impressed. Thanks!!
