On my magento store under role setting i want to assign a different user role to be able to use the NewsladdressimportModule check box. After checked and saved it returns back with the NewsladdressimportModule unchecked.

Status seems to not be used

Hi, with this extension you can change the status of a list (enabled to disabled). But, even disabled, a list can be imported, so I think that the status is not used. Is there a way to read it in the controller and use it to not import a disabled list ?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No possibility to choose the newsletter list, so quite useless You cannot choose which newsletter list (store view language) the subscribers are imported to. So the extension is quite useless unless somebody takes over and continues development.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only importing a few email address. Why? I'll tell you why. It's because of duplicate emails in your imported list. The getId doesn't get unset, so as soon as a duplicate email address is found it thinks all the following emails already exist. If you import a list with no duplicates this extension will work fine. Do the following to make it work fully. Open this file /app/code/local/D3/Newsladdressimport/controllers/Adminhtml/NewsladdressimportController.php Look for this code - Line 189 $table = Mage::getSingleton('core/resource')->getTableName("newsletter/subscriber"); $subscriber = Mage::getModel('newsletter/subscriber'); foreach($myAddresses AS $value){ $subscriber->loadByEmail($value); $confirmCode = Mage::getModel('newsletter/subscriber')->randomSequence(); if (Zend_Validate::is($value, 'EmailAddress')) { if(!$subscriber->getId()) { and add a new line - $subscriber->setId(false); $table = Mage::getSingleton('core/resource')->getTableName("newsletter/subscriber"); $subscriber = Mage::getModel('newsletter/subscriber'); foreach($myAddresses AS $value){ $subscriber->setId(false); $subscriber->loadByEmail($value); $confirmCode = Mage::getModel('newsletter/subscriber')->randomSequence(); if (Zend_Validate::is($value, 'EmailAddress')) { if(!$subscriber->getId()) {

Rated 1 out of 5 by from one record was imported I believe this could be a useful extension but unfortunately, no support from developer. It does NOT work with community 1.7. I manage to install the extension but it only imports 1 email address. No support, no manuals, no instructions to solve the issue.

Rated out of 5 by from Worked great for me with Magento Community Edition 1.7.0.2. Simply create a new import item, paste in your comma or new line separated list of email addresses (I used the latter--I have not tried the former), save it and then submit it for import. Pros: Fast, easy to use. Cons: Magento Connect settings must allow Beta; Nothing happens when re-importing an unsubscribed email; does not allow importing the first and last names of the email addresses. Not a huge drawback, though.
