We recently upgraded to 1.9x and have the latest Fooman GA+ extension. All settings remained the same in the upgrade and reporting well. Products and Categories changed slightly in our store but nothing major... they're a mix of Simple Products and Configurable (with hidden simple products assigned).

We are no longer seeing product sales by Category in GA. I've checked configuration and no attribute is assigned to "Category Tracking Attribute" which should pick the first Category a product in cart is assigned to, correct?

Any other ideas as to why this would not be tracking any more? Technically the product pages aren't accessed thru a category landing page, although they all are assigned to a category. They are linked mainly from the homepage directly. I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with it since it sounds like the extension will find the first category any product is assigned to.
thanks

Answer:
It seems the issue was that 1.9 adds the built-in Universal feature, and that was being confused with Fooman Analytics Plus being enabled.
Of course, Fooman includes the category conversions, but the built in does not.
Sorry for the confusion, but for anyone that hasn't seen the Universal option added into core Magento, it is a little confusing to ensure that's disabled, and then enable the Fooman a little further down.
Thanks

Answer:
Hi there,

Here are some of the pointers to troubleshoot this:

- verify category tracking in the success page
- if the category name is not included, check app/design/frontend/base/default/template/fooman/googleanalyticsplus/universal.phtml and
app/code/community/Fooman/GoogleAnalyticsPlus/Model/Source/Productattribute.php

Hope this helps!

Hi there,

Yes it will - however no timelines are yet available.

According to
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/upgrade/

Google is phasing out features that are currently used by the extension (remarketing, custom data fields) so we will need to check how to best transition this.

At the bottom they mention once the last phase is complete they will support the old analytics for 2 years – so fortunately no rush.

According to Google Analytics documentation users are recommended to upgrade to Universal Analytics as soon as possible. https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/upgrade/
Unfortunately UA does not support remarketing or demographics/interest reports but it will in phase 3. What is the plan to support the new platform? We don't intend to make the switch until Phase 3 when remarketing is supported but I'd like to plan ahead. Thanks!

Hi, when I tried to install this extension, I got a "there's been an error processing your request" screen and the report file showed this error:

Module "Fooman_GoogleAnalyticsPlus" requires module "Fooman_Common".

If I look at the xml on modules folder, it shows a fooman_common dependency:

depends
Mage_GoogleAnalytics/
Fooman_Common/
/depends

Is fooman_common another extension different from this one that needs to be installed prior to googleanalytics+?

If that is the case, you should write somewhere clear on this page. If it is not, how can I solve this problem?

thanks

Answer:
Hi Luciad,

The Common module should get automatically installed if you install from Connect. You can get the complete module from here here: http://store.fooman.co.nz/magento-extension-googleanalyticsplus.html

Alternatively you can get the standalone Common extension from
https://github.com/fooman/common or https://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/fooman-common.html. This module provides common functionality across Fooman extensions.

I see that version 10.5 introduced page speed tracking features.

Does that include an option to increase the sample rate from the default 1% of pageviews, please?

We installed this extension, leaving the top three admin values empty (as we see no reason to run two analytic profiles on the same site) - and google analytics stopped working.

I am presently using another extension for adwords conversion tracking. Unfortunately it grabs every sales transaction of my multi currency site in the respective transaction currency. In order to unify these data and make them usable, I would need the module to report the transaction value in BASE CURRENCY

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Extension for All Things Google "Almost" Hi All, This extension is a very good and powerful tool and highly recommend it. Let me clear up a couple of things. >> Read Fooman's guides first before installing either option. 1. You can install via Magento Connect which installs the fooman_common requirement too. "I don't like using Magento Connect personally, so you can install using FTP direct" 2. Install via FTP - - First download the extension from here use "Fooman_GoogleAnalyticsPlus-0.16.7" and go to GitHub and download "Fooman Common" unzip on computer and Fooman Common followed by Fooman_GoogleAnalyticsPlus-0.16.7 Login to Magento store > Disable Compilation "100% DO THIS DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP!!!!!!" > go to Cache "Enable all caches" and stay on that page Using FTP Client Copy the App folder "Not the Package.xml file as not needed" in both folders from PC to root of store. >>> Once FTP Completed clear all caches "From the page you left open while you transferred files" >> Log out and back in >> Setup Fooman_GoogleAnalyticsPlus as normal and once added ID's and codes clear cache again. Use Tag Assistant to check all items work Job done - Works great on Multi-Store but Default needs to be enabled without and ID's for sub-stores to work correctly "Thats what I found" Requests: Support for Google Webmaster Tools, and Google Merchant centre verifications using HTML Tag or Upload. Then this tool would cover pretty much everything needed in a single place. Cheers, Joseph Gourvenec eTailThis.com January 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Problem in the package This module depens on Fooman_Common but Fooman_Common is not present in the version 0.16.7 of the extension. So at the moment, if you install this extension it can break you store. November 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A product with good support Installing and setting it up was very easy thanks to good documentation and manual. Some time later I had a tiny modification question and within a day michael of Fooman Support gave me the solution. Thnx again! November 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by No fuss, no mess, just great. Fooman clearly care about what they do. With their user guides and open repos on github, this was a piece of cake to get running. (Just be sure to grab the common extension as well) November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Estensione davvero utile! Ha molte funzioni interessanti e la consiglio assolutamente. June 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Extension Easy to deploy and setup. The only thing I would suggest is to implement a way to activated "Enhanced Links Attribution", I know it's just a single line of code, "('require', 'linkid', 'linkid.js');". Despite that, it's a great extension, a 'must have' actually. Best regards... May 29, 2015
