Rated 0 out of 5 by Blitz101 Hi, Thanks for the nice extension. I installed it in 1.6.2 and applied the fix provided by shaileshthapa. I imported all the products, customers and orders without any hassle (multiple stores gets created and I had to delete those).
After I imported all the products, I got an error while reindexing Catalog URL Rewrites. So, I applied the following fix and got it to work but the urls doesn't redirect properly:
Now, I just want to remove this extension from my Magento installation. Can someone please help me on how to remove this extension? I tried removing from connect manager and it gives an error and the front end stops working. Please help me remove this extension without causing any error so that reindexing the urls gives proper redirects. Thanks.

Rated 0 out of 5 by thomas7467 Hi, Installation works fine after shaileshthapa modification suggests. Importing 300 categories in lt;2mn - but trying to import Products (8200) and it is very very slow...1-2 per mn and it seems that they don't appear in Product folder...any ideas? I'm using Magento 1.7 CE

Rated 0 out of 5 by peterdietz This doesn't work "out of the box", but its fairly easy to patch it so you can successfully import your data. (I'm guessing this extension used to work fine, but Magento has since evolved and broke compatibility.) I got it to work with some hacks with Magento Community 18.104.22.168
I followed the advice of other, and have a Git diff / patch of what I changed to get this to work.
Other advice is to ensure that all of your products your are importing must already have images, this was requiring that. Also, your images must be of a valid format (png, jpeg, jpg), so you'll need to convert your bmp's to something else.
After you import, you'll need to manually "touch" each product to set the image that was imported for a product to display. By default it is showing "No Image" is selected. The only way to fix that was to find a friend bored/patient enough to manually click it all for you. If someone knows how to bulk change it so the first/only image to be displayed, then please post here.
Conclusion: You can get this to work, and import your categories, products, customers, and orders. It might be better worth your time to contract this work out to a vendor who has a better method though.

Rated 0 out of 5 by ckpepper02 First, thanks for this tool. I do have a little problem though. I have 2 oscommerce stores that I am merging to 1. The first store migrated successfully, but the second gives me the following error when I click "Check Requirements"
SQLSTATE[HY000] Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 110

Rated 0 out of 5 by h2hfabrics I was able to get this to work on version by replacing the app/code/core/Mage/Oscommerce/Block/Adminhtml/Import/Run.php
It took me about two hours to find this fix. Hope it helps. God Bless
