ADMIN: System → Import/Export → Profiles

The System > Import/Export > Profiles option allows you to import or export product data, product stock levels and customer data easily from and to CSV or xml files.
Export files are saved in the var/export folder in your Magento directory structure. Import filescan be uploaded using the web interface (they will be saved in the var/import folder in your Magento directory structure).
Tip: Before attempting to import data, first create at least one of the items you’re working with manually using the Admin Panel. Export that one product or customer and you will have a template for your import.
