The System > Web Services > Users option allows you to create authorized users for web services APIs.
User Info Tab |
- User Name (required field) – Username that will be used for logging in from the client script.
- First Name (required field) – First name of API user. For reference only.
- Last Name (required field) – Last name/surname of API user. For reference only.
- Email (required field) – Email address associated with API user.
- API Key (required field) – The password that will be used for logging in from the client script.
- API Key Confirmation (required field) – Re-enter the password/key to confirm.
- This account is: – Activation status of this user. Options are active & inactive.

Bind the new user to a predefined role. A role for the API must be created in System > Web Services > Roles before it can be assigned here.
