This is related to a post made about establishing an SSL connection to MySQL here (http://www.magentocommerce.com/group/blog/action/viewpost/850/group/207/)

Here is a screenshot that provides an example of what settings are needed when configuring the MySQL Connector/ODBC for connecting over SSL. This was with the MySQL Connector/ODBC version 5.1.5.
