Some countries do not support zip codes. If you ship internationally, this can make orders from those customers difficult or just wrong. Magento provides a mechanism to allow you to set what countries do not require a zip code. Unfortunately, this is easy to configure, but not as easy to figure out which countries fit in this category.
In an attempt to prepare that information, here is a list of countries that do not currently support zipcodes.
