At the moment the PHP version check for the extension package is too restrictive, so it was not possible to install. "requires PHP (version >= 5.2.0, version <= 5.2.0)" (in the bug report Moshe has suggested setting the upper limit to version 6.0.0) Will be happy to help test this when a new package is uploaded.

With version 1.0.8 the extension downloads and installs without any problems, and seems to work fine with the Protx VSP Direct Simulator.

One problem that I have is that it says the card number is incorrect on Maestro cards.

I dont know if I am doing it incorrectly. I am pasting key and it gives an error. How does this module extension installation work? npithia, Since this is a beta extension, you have to go to the tab "settings" in the Magento Connect section into your Magento admin and then select "Beta" for the preferred state drop list.

Really nice the only problem I have is that the order number as displayed in the admin console does not match the invoice number in VSP. Any ideas how this can be done?

You don't need an encryption code with VSP Direct, you have to add the IP address of your server into your VSP admin and the request is authenticated per IP address.

I've got a problem with placing orders through the magento admin on VSP Simulator, the error says that the IP address is incorrect, but the correct IP address is added in the simulator admin. The same error occurs when using the VSP test server on an account.

As long as you follow the Protx setup (eg using the simulator, then test mode, then live mode), you should not have any problems with this payment module. I have used it on 2 websites now - easy to install and set up. It's the Protx half of the set up that's a little tricky.
