    Great demonstration!

The music was a bit loud (relatively) and was a tad distracting, but overall a great screencast!

My only comment is about the shipping, using one of the methods you get sent to PayPal not knowing how much the shipping will be. that may be a deterrent to some folks, they will want to know the shipping ahead of time, or just when the options will be presented, so they don’t bolt the cart and products, and look for someone who tells how much shipping is ahead of time.
Again all in the presentation, a simple shipping page could provide the information to clarify exactly how the cart is going to treat shipping.

This does not tell the user how to

This does not tell the user what Magento’s PayPal API username is which is vital to running this product.

Trevor- what do you mean by “Magento’s Paypal API username”? You, as the merchant, should have your own api username or password, it’s nothing related to Magento

Well when you get the API details from a paypal account, there is also a section for grant API permissions.  As I could not, and still can’t, get paypal to work, I thought that I might have to grant permissions to MC using a API partner username.

I have now been informed that MC only works with a Website payments pro account.  I have set up a sandbox account for payments pro and put the API credentials into MC.

However, the express checkout just goes to the sandbox login page, and the credit card entry gives an internal error - any suggestions?

For paypal sandbox you should create 2 accounts, a merchant and a buyer account. Enter the API info on the sandbox page into MC paypal settings. When using Paypal Express in MC, you will be redirected to paypal login screen, Login with the Buyer Account credentials that you’ve jsut created, then you will return to MC checkout process when you click on continue on paypal’s page.

This is the steps I took when testing paypal express in MC. No problems so far. For the Paypal Direct test I had the credit card problem too. MC says it’s not valid smile But for testing purposes it should not have to be real (just like the one at the paypal screencast!)

Paypal’s site says “Contact your shopping cart or solution provider for your API account username. Then enter it in the API account username box.”

How do we find out what our API username is?

I have a PP developer account.  To test the credit card process function in the sandbox using developer api credentials, you can use the following credit card info:
    Type:
    VISA

    Card #:
    4485362859528762

    CVV #:
    528

    Expiration Date:
    Jan 09

    hope this helps.
