Searchanise is a free SaaS solution providing faster search and smart autocomplete for any online shop.
This is not a trial or demo—Searchanise search service is, and always will be, free.

Searchanise works with all major web-browsers (including IE and Opera), as well as on mobile devices.
Important! Cron must be configured and running in your store, for the add-on to work properly. Read more in the docs.

Note In order to connect a store to Searchanise, the store must be reachable from the Internet. Though the add-on can be installed on a local machine, it will not be able to establish connection with a Searchanise server.

To change the synchronization initialization mode, go to System → Configuration → SEARCHANISE → Settings.

Answer:The problem must be caused by the cron settings of your store.
You either do not have cron periodic jobs running at all, or cron schedule is too sparse.

If, for some reason, Searchanise is not ready to process search requests (e.g. indexing in progress,) the default search is temporarily used.
