"Product Search” is always an important part of any ecommerce system because it seems impossible to show all products with full details to customers at the same time. With a powerful product search tool, a web-store can increase selling chance as well as customers’ ease of use. Magento is using a simple searching function which takes a long time to show the entire search result page and users must navigate to the product page to view its detail information. InstantSearch is a powerful searching function that can make good the demand of build-in Magento’s search function. InstantSearch extension extends the real-time searching idea of Google Instant Search. It automatically searches right after customer types a character. The first result will be shown like a product detail page and the other results will be shown as a product thumbnail image. If customer clicks on thumbnail pictures, InstantSearch will load more information of that product into the main search result section. Instant Search by Magestore 14 14Works great I installed this extension and it works great. I have mine very much customized with a buy now button so they can buy from the search box. But I have one issue I'm trying to solve ...when I turn on https for administration parts of the search box doesn't show up, i.e. the main product box. March 26, 2013Great potencial This is a great extension by Magestore, however im surprised to find some of the basics missing, such as the price only displays without tax, and products links are hard coded to open up in a new window (not good practice.) February 22, 2013For all those who got fatal error! Do this to fix your site:: With Configuration > Advanced > Advanced you only disable the output of the blocks. To really disable the module you need to go to app/etc/modules in your codebase an find the file Magestore_Magenotifcation.xml. Within that file you need to change the node to false. When cache is enabled you need to flush it after you made this change. After I enter the key in the admin area, it said "Invalid License Key" August 21, 2012There is definitely a problem with it, here lt;div id="mainProductWrapper"gt;lt;/divgt; is how the source code rendered on my pages, NOTHING IN BETWEEN THE OPENING AND CLOSING mainProductWrapper DIV! I cleared cache, chmod folders to 755, chmod files to 644 and chown to my user:group - then I logged out and back in. I also re-indexed the site.
