Overview
Disable Emails extension from WebFlakeStudio allows to disable specific email notifications in Magento store. In some cases it is needed to disable particular transactional email. You can do this easily with Wfs_DisableEmails module. This extension can be used to disable all native Magento email notifications and even notifications of custom modules. But be careful, and don't disable Remind Password notification :)
How to use?
Install extension using Magento Connect Manager, clear your cache. You can access this extension in backend: System → Configuration → Advanced → System → Disable Email Notifications.- Release Notes

Disable Email Notifications 9 9I'm running Magento CE 1.7.0.2. It works. However, it only works if you have the default newsletter subscription/unsubscrption success templates selected. If you have a custom template, it doesn't work. I found this out with a test installation that worked, but it failed on my live installation. Workaround: Temporarily change your templates to default when you have them disabled, then put them back to your custom templates when you re-enable.
