1.4.1.1 Can not install, error
March 2, 2012
I use Feed Pro extension to generate and upload product feed to TheFind. Works great.

As someone already mentioned you don't need this extension if you have the current version. I believe 1.4.2 and above have TheFind included.
For me TheFind wasn't working out of the box. The product and image URLs were relative so it was causing an error. Also, attributes were displaying their IDs instead of their text versions.
I came up with a quick solution here: http://josephbill.com/modifying-magento-thefind-module-to-actually-work/
I hope this helps someone.

On TheFind Merchant Center Go to Product Info > Product Feed Setup.
Settings
URL: Your store URL. (ie: http://www.mystore.com/)
Feed Format: TheFind
File Type: .txt
Notification: Any option will do but for the first setup i would recommend on every import then you can always change it.
After you have completed that step TheFind will make you create your FTP account.
Write down your username & password.
Now for the Magento Part
In the Magento Admin go to System > Configuration > TheFind > Feed
Settings
FTP Server: ftp.thefind.com
FTP Path: /
FTP User: Your TheFind FTP username
TheFind Feed Filename: anyname.txt
FTP Password: Your TheFind FTP password
Update TheFind Item when Product is Updated: Yes
Cron Frequency: I set mine to daily. According to TheFind, at minimum it must be updated every 7 days.
Cron Hour: anyone will do just fine.
Next step will actually be configuring the mapping of Magento Data to TheFind Data.
In the Magento Admin, go to Catalog > TheFind Feed > Manage attributes
You’ll need five attributes, at minimum, to get your product to appear on TheFind.
Click on “Add new” at the top and match the following attributes:
Import Code Eav Code Is imported
Title name Yes
Description description Yes
Price price Yes
Page_Url url_path Yes
Image_Link image Yes
Finally Add your items!
In the Magento Admin, go to Catalog > TheFind Feed > Manage Items
Pick the items you want to add and click publish from the action drop down in the top right corner of the grid.
TheFind says it can take 24-72 hours before your items appear but mine appeared instantly.
How to Test to see if you’re publishing?
You can log into TheFind’s FTP server with your given username and password you used in the step above and see if your txt file is in the root directory.
Then after a couple days search your company name on TheFind and see if your items are there.

i don't see how this works at all. I have Magento 1.5 and this is pre-installed. When I go to "Catalog" --> TheFind feed --> manage attributes nothing shows.

Try installing on 1.4.1.1, got an error.
magento-core/Find_Feed requires package "magento-core/Mage_Core_Modules" (version >= 1.4.2.0, version <= 1.4.3), installed version is 1.4.1.1
Install Errors
No valid packages found
PEAR ERROR: install failed
Basically it will only support 1.4.2 or newer :(

Hi
I have succesfully installed this extension (1.4.1.1) and think I have entered all the settings in the configuration panel correctly and activated the products I would like to upload. However no file is uploaded to TheFind servers.
Do I need to schedule a cron job for this to work or should this work automatically when I run the cron.php in the main directory?
Note to developer, please enable the forums for this extension so at least someone that has been successful with this extension could post their comments rather than spamming your Reviews ;-)

ok i installed this one: "magento-core/Find_Feed-1.0.6"
but i think is not working also
when i submit it says successfull but it'l like 1000 products in about 1-2 seconds.
i dont think it's that fast to submit 1000 product to the find.
not even google is that fast.
so good luck.
ps. it wouldnt hurt to put some structions.
