Overview
Drawing customers’ attention to new and featured products or special offers is one of the most effective ways to increase sales. Smart Label allows you to add graphic labels like ‘NEW’, ‘HOT’, or ‘ON SALE’ to your product images or notify your customers about clearanceitems and thereby increasing their sales impact.. Using Smart Label, you can display a sale’s countdown timer showing days, hours, minutes and seconds left on the product detail page in order to motivate your customers to buy now. With this extension, the label image and text are easily customized so you can upload your own images for product labels and create your own dynamic messages.Features

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Frontend
1. List all of sale, new, bestseller, and featured products with correspondent labels on category view
2. 6 predefined label positions: bottom – left, bottom – center, bottom – right, top – left, top – center, top – right
3. Display countdown timer to display remaining time in ending up a Sale on product
4. Display all of a product’s status on product view
Backend
Using smart label, admin can:
1. Setup featured attribute for a product or a group of product
2. Configure the following parameters:

3. Change label, label’s image and text without Use Default Config.

July 6, 2012this extension does not install correctly, it seems to change the layout of your pages June 1, 2011I have it mostly working, needs a slight css tweak here and there for positioning on you template, but generally seams to work OK...
