Magento Fraud Prevention Screening using Maxmind, Order Risk Scoring
Fraud prevention in Magento is a big issue, and our module uses latest technology (from only .5 cents an order!) to screen and assist in preventing fraud.
The Magento Fraud Alert Module uses MaxMind's risk scoring technology to reduce the risk of accepting online credit card payments.
The Fraud Screening/Alert extension featuring MaxMind is a "must have" extension for your Magento stores. Did you know that the cost of online fraud rose to $4 billion in 2008 (and it rises every year!)?
In particular, fraudulent international orders were expected to rise to 4% of online orders in the US last year. Our fraud screening module helps you quickly identify suspicious orders. For example, how would you tell if an order was placed from a computer in Ghana but the shipping address is in Australia? If it was then you will certainly want to know about it! This is a common ploy that is flagged automatically by our module. Incoming orders are automatically scored for fraud risk using MaxMind's MinFraud service. Each order is assigned a score out of 100 - the higher the number of fraud issues, the higher the score.

Order scores are displayed in the summary Sales Order view and detailed information about the order score (and elements that contributed to it) is visible in each order.

Thanks... April 23, 2013Works perfectly, great support! I installed this extension for a client about a month ago; it was extremely easy to install and configure. It works exactly like it should, and the client is happy with it. So far this has stopped a dozen or so fraudulent orders. The tech support responded quickly when I asked whether this would work with the latest version. April 12, 2013Bug Please fix the notification bug currently present in your Magento Module for fraud detection. It attempts to go off to this URL for notifications on FeedBurner (http://feeds.feedburner.com/directshopsolutions/tAWN) but gets the following error returned Fatal error: Call to a member function setTitle() on a non-object in /home/sites/magento.directshop.com.au/docs/app/code/core/Mage/Customer/Block/Form/Login.php on line 40 This is filling up our logs and also made me spend hours looking for a bug in my own code thinking there was an issue with one of Magento's layout XML files, but after finally tracking it down, it is coming from your module. Please fix this feed, in fact better yet, dont use Magento's admin notification system because as bad as being spammed! Good module though, works as it needs to apart from the notification bug.
