May 5, 2013Really amazing concept and execution I used this the other day and my mind was blown all over the floor. It's an amazingly simple concept and clean implementation. I have yet to begin to move it into my workflow, but I plan on doing so and heavily promoting it to all Magento admins that I know. It's fantastic, and takes a bit of the pain away from what can usually be a slightly slower-than-desired navigation experience in the Magento admin. March 13, 2013Some permission problems HI, This tool have a great potential only that you need to handle the permission problem. If you are the admin of the website you can search everything starting from the name of a client to the name of the product or any magento settings. The problem is if you have for example a website manager that do not have all the admin permission. For example I have a role that gives the permission to the user for the clients, products and orders, but when I login with that user in the back-end and I try to search using Pulse Storm after the name of the client I receive Access Denied, also for product name, even if the role allow him to view all that informations. October 10, 2012Easy to install, easy to use and great for saving time looking for a specific menu inside the aministration menu of magento backend. Configurable, let's you choose wich action triggers the search box. Once the search box is visible, begin typing and it will do the search job for you on all available items on menus and submenus. Avatar Image Url:: http://www.magentocommerce.com/images/avatars/uploads/avatar_106639Answer:The product and order search features of the Pulse Storm Launcher make use of the existing Magento "Global Search" feature. If your user account does not have permission for this ACL permission, you will not be able to use the search features.
To enable this permission, go to
> System -> Permissions -> Roles
and edit your "web user"'s role.
Then, select the Role Resources tab and choose the "Global Search" permission from the tree view. Global Search is a top level permission.
