Aschroder Set Custom Order Number
Easily set the starting Order, invoice, shipment and credit memo number to a custom value. This extension will show up in the 'Sales' section of the Magento config.
This is a very simple extension all it does is allow you to set a custom number for 4 different Magento entities; order, invoice, shipment, credit memo.
In doing that, you are basically overriding the default numbers which look like 100000001,100000002,… to make them more like 253348713,253348714,… (or something like that).
This allows you to encode in the number a specific store prefix (if you aggregate order numbers into external systems) and also to mask the number of orders you have processed from your customers – no one likes to be order number 100000001!
From version 0.3 you can now disable the padding, the prefix and customize the increment amount too. Read about the changes in 0.3 here.

May 19, 2013I have installed this extension on magento 1.4.1.1 . it works perfect but after click 'Place Order' button on checkout process, order can not redirect to success page it stay on checkout page with processing of order. i got order email everythings. I am using payment method is "Check/Money Order" if i disable this module. order will goes to success page. How can i solve this issue? However now I am using shipstation, and I've come to find out that they don't work together. So I need to uninstall this extension. My worry is that when I uninstall I don't know what my magento store will do. Will it continue order numbers from where I left off with the extension. Will it go back to old numbers. Will it product duplicates? The people at shipstation said they worked with another extension provider for order numbers and that provider was able to alter their extension to work with shipstation.byeasyteach-1 month, 3 weeks ago1 of 11 of 1 - Get Help
