This simple extension makes store navigation more flexible and more user-friendly by enabling store customer to apply multiple values of the same filter criteria. (eg. can browse for yellow and red shoes at the same time)
Extension has no admin configuration, it just works, visually layered navigation does not change, only behavior differs: when store customer choses one filter item by clicking it, catalog is filtered by chosen item; after applying filter store customer still has possibility to choose and apply other item of the same filter. So you give store customer possibility to apply as many items of the same filter as he likes.

Installation
Backup your system
Though this extension does not modify standard Magento files, we strongly recommend to backup your Magento installation before any extension installation or update:
- Create full copy of your Magento directory.
- Create database backup (use command „mysqldump -u -h localhost „-p“ > backup.sql“).
Extract and Copy
In case you use Magento compilation feature, please open menu System -> Tools -> Compilation. In Compilation page, press Disable button.
Make sure all cache is enabled in System -> Cache Management
On your computer, extract ZIP file in a directory where Magento is installed. Your extract files directly, without creating separate directory with the name of ZIP file.
In case you would like to install this on your remotely hosted server, extract downloaded ZIP file in a temporary directory and upload all the extracted files directly to the remote directory where Magento is installed.
Install
Please do these steps:
- Log in to Magento Admin Panel. If already logged in, please log out and log in anew.
- Open menu System -> Cache Management. In Cache Storage Management page, select all cache types and apply Refresh action to all of them. Disabled cache types do not need to be refreshed.
- If previously used, enable magento compilation feature back using menu System -> Tools -> Compilation, buttons Enable and Run Compilation Process.
- Thats it, done.
Disabling extension
How to disable extension: Open /app/etc/modules/Mana_Filters.xml, find true and change it to false.

Multiple Select In Layered Navigation (Filters) 65 65Great extension once I got it working I installed this on 1.7.2 and here's a few pointers as I has some issues at first. (1) Dont use the Magento Connect Manager. Download the file from the MANADEV website and install using your FTP program of choice (eg. Filezilla) (2) Unlike other extensions - this one must have the Cache ENABLED when you install. (3) DISABLE Compiler if you are using it. (4) If you are using layered navigation like I am, on the RIGHT hand side instead of the left, you need to make a couple of edits. If forced me to reindex but than did change nothing in behaviour of layerd navigation. Its possible its because of my premium template however the not existing documentation avoids it can be fixed. Maybe its also because lack of admin menu. I have deinstalled it again and did not need to reindex again - I hope it left no bugs in my shop ?
