The Magento RMA extension allows you to organize a system for customers to request a return without any efforts. With the help of the module, clients can return the products bought, have them replaced or refunded within the admin specified warranty period.

Create RMA request from frontend or backend


Intuitively understandable frontend interface
Having selected the required order and products, customers can choose the request type, specify the package condition, attach a file, add a couple of words as comments, and agree with RMA policy.

Don't be so quick to purchase this one... So after review of this product in my store over the past few days, I've realized that there are two critical flaws in this extension: Neither of these capabilities exist within the current version of this extension: *Capability to submit a RMA request on an order containing multiple items without requesting all items returned - Even if only one of the items has an issue *Only specify that one of the items in a multiple quantity purchase be returned I have addressed this issue with the Aheadworks team, noting that these issues were raised on their message forum back in 2010: http://forum.aheadworks.com/return-qty-0-t1595.html However, four years later this is still apparently "on their roadmap" to be completed. As versions of Windows have been coded in a shorter amount of time I can't help but feel this is not ever going to be fixed. I would definitely recommend others look at other solutions for RMAs - or they can attempt to convince their customers to only buy one item at a time, I suppose. May 26, 2014
A must have for any eccommerce store This product works great and exactly as described. However it would be nice if there was a feature to be able to set multiple return addresses instead of just one primary address for those of us who have returns going all over the country. August 7, 2013

Good extension With this extension it is easy to handle rma. Customers have clear information on how to proceed and therefore NOT call each time. We save time and avoid hassles and errors. The usage is very simple as all Aheadworks extensions. April 2, 2013
Since just released RMA v.1.4, your customers have possibility to define reasons for RMA requests. Moreover, you can set up RMA ID manually and view RMA requests from the Customer Information panel. November 27, 2012

This idea is very interesting and it is worth to be implemented into the RMA extension. I've put the inquiry into our roadmap, so our developers could consider this feature and maybe they'll implement it in one of the upcoming versions. January 24, 2012

return reason

Hi
we would like to buy this extension, but before we would like to ask a few questions:
1. is it possible to set a return reason for each product in the same order?
for example if the order include 1 t-shirt and 1 pants, the user will be able to choose a reason for returning the pants and a reason for returning the t-shirt.

2. is it possible to set a different email template for each status change?

3. in the demo frontend when the rma tab is active when i'm for example in this page

i can not click again on the rma tab to go to the main rma page, can you please fix this?

4. if i was in this page: http://demo.aheadworks.com/return_merchandise_authorization/awrma/customer_rma/new/

selected an order, than i clicked on "Another RMA for this product:" link, and than i want to go back to the page i was before by clicking the back button - the order details are not reload.

Hi, Mon.

1. Unfortunately the reason can only be selected for the whole order, however a customer might specify return reasons for each product in the comment section.

2. Yes, templates for each status change can be set in Admin Panel->Sales->RMA->Manage Statuses->"Status"

3. This is native Magento behavior, however you may return to the main page by clicking the "Back" button, which is located below.

4. The "Back" button leads to the RMA list by default.

Hi,

Following is the scenarios which i need to get clarification on

1.When a customer returns the product will the product inventory be updated automatically when the RMA status is changed to resolved

2.When user want to replace the product with other product lets say if he want to exchange 100$ product with 150 $ product how will this scenario work

Please provide me with the screenshots if possible for the above scenario

Unfortunately, our RMA extension does not automatically process any of the described scenarios.
The extension is designed for managing the incoming RMA requests; however, the actual refunds, stock updates, sending replacement items, etc must still be processed by the store admin manually, per standard Magento procedures.

Hi,

This module looks awesome. We'd like to add some functionality - more specifically creating credit order to our ERP and perhaps refunding with our payment gateways.

So, the question is: is there any event you will dispatch on status change for a RMA, or is there any other way for us to hook in to this process?

Unfortunately, the RMA extension does not dispatch any special event on request status update.
The closest method we could suggest is working via the general "save" event ( controller_action_predispatch_adminhtml_rma_save ) , and comparing the previous and the current request statuses.
