Simple-product-pricing
This module allows store owners to change the way products pricing works in Magento.
By default, the price used by the cart is the price of the configurable product.This gives site owners direct control on the product pricing configuration, they can set different prices for each of associated product.
Unlikely the default cart behavior, the module allows customers to see the price of simple products.The finally price is calculated once the customer has chosen their selection.
This module does not affect your store performance, because changes in your site behaviors occur only when the product is added to the shopping cart.
This eliminates the need to load simple products whenever you see category or brand pages.
The module allows you to show "out of stock" configurable options.

Use simple product pricing in stead of configurable pricing
2010-04-30 16:30:16 This module allows Magento store owners to change the way products pricing works in Magento.By default, the price used by the cart is the price of the configurable product.
Magento store owners are now able to sell their products for the price of the selected simple product.
This gives site owners direct control on the product pricing configuration.
They can set different prices for each of associated product.
Unlikely the default cart behavior, the module allows customers to see the price of simple products.
There is no need anymore to set rules such as: +20% for Blue/XL or +50 for Blue/L, all you need to do is setting up your price for associated product. The script will calculate the difference for you and display it to your customers, the finally price is calculated once the customer has chosen their selection.This module does not affect your store performance, because changes in your site behaviors occur only when the product is added to your shopping cart.This eliminates the need to load simple products whenever you see your category or brand pages.- Reviews

Owing to another module, we had some trouble with the installation, but all problems have been solved immediately by the support. I purchased this module and had an issue because of the other modules installed on our site. I sent an email to the developer and he sorted my problem out very quickly. EXCELLENT SERVICE. However, if there is one thing it is lacking or a feature it probably needs, it is the ability to hide the price differences in the drop down options. If it was able to do that it would be perfect. He even offered a refund as an alternative. When ever I reached out to him, he responded in a timely manner. Tried the free Matt Dean version, but it was not compatible with the latest versions of Magento even after many attempts to patch it from the forums. Our Magento installation is highly customized and uses many other extensions for pricing options/reward points/modified checkout process.
