Here are the most common mistakes bellow. Please double check if you have not missed anything: - you haven't added your IP to the list of allowed IPs of ICEcat - you have URL subscription (while connector works for the XML subscriptions only) - you have set up attributes wrongly. About the Developer
This extension was developed by and is supported by bInTime
MageConnector 19 19Do Not USE! Does not work, and developer will not support. DO NOT INSTALL OR USE!!! DOES NOT WORK. This does not work, just google "IceCat Magento Images" etc and you'll see hardly anyone has got it to work, and no one can figure out how to fix it. Images rarely work, in either product view or catalog view. I have followed the instructions to a T - everything is working except it doesn't display any images. Also, some of the product names get changed and are rubbish. A lenovo laptop, just gets called "X230" - not very helpful. BinTime have washed their hands of the extension, saying they do not and will support it, even if you pay them to. This should be taken off the Magento Connect immediately until they can provide support and/or fixes and/or updates to get it to work. I emailed bintime constantly and just get ignored; like every time I've attempted to use it over the past year. Here is the only reply they sent me, which I got today: "Hello James, Unfortunately there is no support on magento connector currently, paid or free. Magento connector is a free software and it doesn't provide any warranties. regards Sergey " March 11, 2013Installing this extension and getting it to work is actually really simple, i'll make a video about it once i'm done populating my store with delicious information. Fantastic tool when you finally get it to work. November 6, 2011Cannot get this to work. I have spent the last 3 days trying and trying and not getting anywhere. Running Magento 1.5.1.0, install goes fine, no errors. Go into System/Configuration, click on "Ice Cat Title", the top navigation bar gets distorted and above it says: "Document is not valid".... But if I scroll all the way down the page, there is the configuration. I can set all the options except Language, when I use the drop down bar, no launguages are displayed, it is just blank. Came back and noticed there is a beta version 2.2.4.1, fantastic, downloaded installed... Now MageConnector does not display at all. I would be willing to pay for this connector but I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I tried emailling support to only get a responce that I need to check the IP.......
