Facebook connect and publish extension allows to login into store using your Facebook account, share product info via Facebook?, socialize your products via Facebook Like Button. People tend to dislike registering on hundreds of sites.With Facebook Connect and Publish extension a new user would be able to login to the store using only his existing Facebook account.

The store account is then created automatically, using his Facebook account information. Moreover, the extension allows the configurable Like button to be added on the product page. When pushed, the product info will be added to the Facebook Feed of the user.
This extension greatly simplifies the process of new user registration, thus, increasing the amount of user registrations a day. The Like button adds free advertising of your product around the user's friends and significantly increases the interest towards this product.Already existing non-Facebook shop accounts can be linked with the Facebook accounts. This linkage allows the Like button to be fully functional around existing users.

This is a faulty product and the customer service is VERY POOR. They claim 100% Simple Installation and Usage but after the first installation failed they sent me a second set of different instructions, neither instructions worked. They claim 6 months of support but when I emailed them they replied saying "it's working". It isn't working - when a customer logs in it just redirects to a blank page! Check www.modigy.co.uk to see for yourself. I asked for support a number of times but they just ignored each request. Finally I asked for my 30 days money back guarantee but as you guessed, no reply. I run Magento 1.4. September 5, 2011This extension also seems to make add to wishlist feature broken. Quoting my web assistance: After closer look on the issue I have noticed that exception is generated on $wishlist-gt;addNewItem call from app/code/community/Belvg/FacebookConnect/controllers/Wishlist/IndexController.php file which belongs to Belvg/FacebookConnect extension. This call generates the following exception on Wishlist.php: PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function getStoreId() on a non-object in app/code/core/Mage/Wishlist/Model/Wishlist.php on line 269 This error can be caused by calling addNewItem function with empty product object. It is recommended to check if disabling/uninstalling Belvg/FacebookConnect extension solves the issue. The extension can be disabled by changing true to false in app/etc/modules/Belvg_FacebookConnect.xml (in lt;activegt; section) and flushing Magento cache.
