Magento Connect
If you are processing multiple orders with Magento on a regular basis, you know it is a hassle to pick the products off the warehouse shelves, and organize them into groups for packing.
This module provides 5 extra options to the actions menu in the Sales > Orders page, developed in response to a real need which I'm sure you experience as well - how to easily pick items from shelves and box them for shipment.
• 3 types of Pick List to facilitate picking and packing- works with * all* order statuses. • 2 Packing Sheet PDF templates - works with *all* order statuses. • 2 Invoice PDF templates - works with *all* order statuses. • Address Label Sheet. • Export selected orders to CSV.
> See it in action in our live Demo Site
The first, 'PDF Order-separated Pick List' will generate a simple pdf of all selected orders, with the SKUs under each order ID. This is extremely useful when you are separating orders prior to packing. It means you can quickly have access to each order, and the items that should be in it. You can also include the product name, shelving info, product options (with filters) and an order-id barcode. There's also an option to warn you if an ordered SKU will go below your 'stock notify level' after the pick. This works with all selected orders, no matter what their status is.
The second 'PDF Combined-order Pick List' is ideal for picking the items off the warehouse shelves. It generates a list off all SKUs, in ascending order, with the quantities of each. It also includes 2 subtotals, one a count, so you can easily double-check the picked items; the second is a cost total. If you have assigned a 'cost' to each product then this will tot them all up. This is invaluable if you are drop-shipping or sourcing your items from a non-linked warehouse - it will show you easily how much you will have to pay for each group of orders. You can also show the product name, shelving info, and a warning if an item goes below your 'stock warning level' after this pick. This works with all selected orders, no matter what their status is.
The third, 'PDF Out-of-stock Pick List', contains a list of all items in the pick which will go below your stock notify level. This is great if you stock some items and source others from external suppliers - you will have a separate list of all items you need from your suppliers. It will show you the number of items you need to fulfill all selected orders, and the number needed to restock to your 'stock notify level', as well as the costs for both. This works with all selected orders, no matter what their status is.
This saves hours off every group of orders processed.
Bored of the large-filesize, unreadable default Packing Sheet and Invoice? Annoyed that you can't print a Packing Sheet before marking an order as Shipped? We've got you covered - you will make awesome PDFs that will completely enhance your public-face at the important unboxing moment. What's more your box-packers will appreciate the high legibility of the Packing Sheets, and having their filesize *way* smaller mens they download almost instantly - great for when the courier is waiting!
You can also include Gift Messages, Order Notes and a standard message (eg. for returns information), with options for different locations. You can show a specific 'standard' message for specific customer groups (eg wholesale customers). The customer group can be set to display only if the group is in a specific range of groups.
You can show order notes, with an option to filter based on text or whether it is marked as 'visible on frontend' in the settings. (Eg. no need to show credit authorization messages)
The shipping address is completely customisable, you can show the telephone and email, as well as only add the country if it is not your own (ie. it will not print country for domestic orders).
It is all designed to simplify the entire experience for you and for your customers.
There is a second 'theme' for packing sheets included. This has a very minimal layout, and all the individual items are positioned exactly via the config. The main use for this is printing onto pre-printed forms - you will be able to 'nudge' all items into their respective places on your paper.
For the customised Invoice PDF - this actually has exactly the same options as the Packing Sheet PDF, but you can set this one up to show eg. an 'Invoices' title and show prices, and set up the Packing Sheet to not show prices, while showing the shipping carrier, shipping weight, and so on.
There is an option to export selected orders to CSV; this works with all order statuses and is completely customisable. Include all the columns you require, plus for each: fixed text, product attribute (eg. color), order attributes (eg. city).
Installation is simple, copy and paste the contents of the App folder over the top of your current installation, after the usual backups. Once you clear the cache you should see the new options in the Actions menu.
There are two versions included, one for 1.3.2.4, the other for 1.4+ (including 1.5+,1.6+,1.7+). Upgrades for 6 months will be free.
This works with Magento Enterprise Edition as well as the Community Edition.

There is also a bonus extension, a 3rd entry to the actions menu, 'Print Packing List'. This is an alternative to the default 'print invoice'. It is a much smaller filesize (+/- 10k, instead of MB), much better styling (larger fonts, simpler layout), and with a larger space for your logo. It also includes the mailing address and the return address at the base of the sheets, so that it can be printed on integrated labels to save even more time. Alternatively it is easy to cut-and-paste the addresses from each sheet onto your package. There are no prices shown on these sheets, the idea being for it to be a simple 'Packing slip' with which items are included, and not too much room for customer confusion. Right now it is unsupported, and is included as a bonus. I do plan to upgrade the functionality of this is future upgrades.

There are two versions included, one for 1.3.2.4, the other for 1.4+. Upgrades, at least with the current 1.4 line, will be free. The 1.3.2.4 version will not be supported with future enhancements, but right now functions the same as the 1.4 version.
