Magento Connect 1.0 change

- mapping Magento custom attributes, even those with custom options.
- offering custom mappings with the need to tweak the module/developp a new one
- properly retrieving the tax Magento will actually apply on the fly to your customer
- synchronysing customers and addresses objects for real with much better mappings
- multi-shop with each shop having the possibility of its own pricelist, it's own OpenERP stock warehouse (notice that Magento can still continue to apply its own discount system anyway).
- multi-magento websites
- multi-magento installation and even compatible with future other connector based on the generic infrastructure (3 out of 4 modules are generic)
- orders can be validated and depending of the shop settings, create pickings and invoices or not
- price including tax or not as you want per shop
- import products from Magento in a click
- import categories from Magento
- no need to tweak the discount field precision, done automatically at install
- secured, no crappy PHP file to copy anyware with a security hole anymore, only secured Magento API webservices
- resilient to network failure
- really smart updates that synch only things that actually changed and save bandwidth
- supported by the orginial conceptor of the "Smile" prototype, that's us Akretion.com
- supported by Sharoon Thomas (Openlabs/Publicus Solutions)
- supported in the close future by CampToCamp
- 3 of the 4 required modules will supported by other connector developpers, like for Spree Commerce. The core module base_external_referentials will be supported even by developpers of connectors with OpenERP and anything (like sugar CRM, any external system actually).

Odoo v8/OpenERP v8 Compatibility Has anyone successfully implemented this with Odoo v8/OpenERP v8? I've just installed the latest release from Github: https://github.com/odoo/odoo and am interested in using the Magento connector with it due the fact the current e-commerce functionality is currently not on par with Magento. May 19, 2014
Working as described I am using this connector with Magento 1.9 and Openerp 7 and this module is working as expected. Only the picture are not imported but It is not critical. The essential is working A good extension for free :) May 15, 2014
Very good funtion This function is under developement but it's completely free and if you don't want to spend money is the best solution.. October 5, 2013
Review Update Their support is excellent, specially considering this is a free extension. I am writing a new review since I was not able to update the old one. Here are a few of my preliminary observations regarding the functionality of the connector as of version 1.4.1: 1. Tax data does not get imported 2. Product pictures are not imported 3. No management of duplicate/conflicting records (in cases where you are installing this into a live system with existing data) 4. There is no control over mapping of data 5. Syncs are not automated You'll want to thoroughly test this before you go live. And consider allocating some budget/time for additional integration if the above are deal breakers. July 29, 2013
Connector works great !!! Previuosly, I tried the other connector avalaible in the market for OpenERP 7 i.e OpenERP bridge. I must say that connector is good for nothing. Forget integration, I ended up messying my whole system. But, finally I am happy that Openlabs have come up with this connector and it works very much fine. Its stable and powerfull of all the connector I have used till now. I owe thanks to Openlabs team for this great work. :) July 26, 2013
The most stable connector module with awesome support Finally some Open Source magic. I feel this connector solves many of the problems and being Open Source it is without any charge. Mighty fine features and no misleading claims. Fully tested with the latest versions of Magento and OpenERP. Nice support from Openlabs team. Keep up the good work lads. July 24, 2013
Where is Magento in OpenErp I have installed the module and have a trial version of OpenErp 7 account. Where do I setup the installation? July 17, 2013
Unclear install documentation I am having trouble installing. Documentation could benefit from having a section on installing module in OpenERP. These are the steps I performed: 1. unpacked files 2. set permissions of directory to openerp 3. copied directory to addons folder 4. restarted openerp service 5. openerp web interface now shows error "no handler found" Note: Before this, I had to rename the folder from "magento-integration-developer" to "magento" since it complained there was no such module called "magento". It also complained about pycountry not found. I tried to install that module from the openlabs git repo, but it seems to be only for opernerp version 5/6, not 7. Any help is appreciated, thanks. July 17, 2013
Simple, stable and cleaner connector Great product, great service and Fully tested. Works well on magento 1.7 and 7 Openerp July 17, 2013
Great work by Openlabs !! Hats off to you guys, this latest module is like great improvement over the previous one. Its Simple, fully tested and 100% opensource. The documentation explains everything clearly. It is the most affordable connector option available for the users of OpenERP v7. I am confident of the product and the service is excellent. My recommendation! Go for it..... Thank you very much for this High performance product. Great job!! July 16, 2013

OpenERP Modules

Hello,

i am not quite sure if i understood the concept, so I can install the Magento Add-on to connect to OpenERP, but the modules I need for openERP are not open source?
Where can I get these modules? On the openlabs site it seems they are free to download but a click further it says 999 USD...i am confused and would be happy about some clarification.

We are using the https://github.com/openlabs/magento_integration with OpenERP 7 and magento 1.7

The number of products is about 3700

Everything works fine but when i hit the "Export Inventory" it takes more than 5 hours . I have checked the OpenERP server and Magento server at the time of running the Export Inventory process, everything seems normal and load average , cpu , ram ,disk IO and other things are normal .

Maybe the connector does not like to use the resources on the server .

Is there any way to force it to be more aggressive and speed up the process ?
