OMG!!!
I just installed this on my magento 1.7 install. When trying to access my site afterwards I just got an error page saying:
"Service Temporarily Unavailable
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later"
Luckly I managed to go back to Magento Connect Manager, the only bit of my site left working, and removed the extension.
I'm now wondering how I'm going to get my products to appear on google with magento, its not looking like such a wise choice any more :-(

Everything is out of stock...
Extension is promising. But if you give something to community, why don't you write 1 page instructions?
It looks simple but there are major flaws. If you don't want to cry for days, buy an extension. Because you will spend days till you solve your problems.
Beware: Configurable products will be out of stock. There is no way to prevent that... So it is pointless to use this extension for configurable product stores such as clothing stores.

Definite Shortcomings
This extension installed fine for me, but I cannot get the products to sync up to google shopping.
There are no errors generated, and there is no support for this module without buying a support contract.
Also, if you want to add static values for any of the mappings to google, that isn't a feature that is available in this module. The alternative is adding a new attribute to all of your products and assigning it a value, which is a lot of unnecessary work.
Also, if you want to find documentation for google base, there is some that is on the magento go website, but other than that, it's forums.

Real Big Issue
I have been using this extension for months but now it just gives the error message "One or more google shopping synchronization operations failed because of timeout." i cant add more than 8 products at a time, not great when you have 4000 products to submit.
i have tried all the solutions i can find and still not working
Does any one know a solution for this?

Error : Google Content ID or Not Sync yet
Hi
I have installed the extension as described by one of my friend and setup google merchant for it.
Extension installed successfully
In Attribute I added Price, Description and Title
When selected products from "Manage Item" and added to Google Content which was also a successful step.
No issue i am facing here when I submit for Synchronise it does it successfully and i recv following email
"Product synchronization with Google Shopping completed
Total of 0 items(s) have been deleted; total of 1 items(s) have been updated."
Now, I can not see anything happening, all product are still in "Google Content Items" and my products do not have Google Content ID yet.
Please let me know if i have done something or missed any step
Awaiting your reply
Regards
KAHU

Nice Extension
Thank you for this useful extension.
Just one problem, the product image is not posted, I read the instruction, it says image_link should be default attribute? but its just not showing in Google merchant.

Horrible
I installed it on Magento 1.7.0 and I lost Google Checkout functionality completely. There is no google checkout button at all. Not to mention that none of the products was able to export to google. I have no idea what to do now... No support as well.

Works as advertised
You have to know what you're doing, unfortunately, but it works well. Setup:
1) Create your Google Merchant Account: http://www.google.com/merchants/default - Then copy your Account ID, email address and password into step 2. Verify and Claim your site, add shipping and tax rules in Google.
2) System/Configuration/Shopping/Google API - Fill in the blanks.
3) Catalog/Google Content/Manage Attributes - Map at least your Name, Description, and Price
4) Catalog/Google Content/Manage Items - Add your items.
If it fails, read the error messages at the top of your Magento store.

Poor documentation and difficult setup
Getting my Magento store products onto Google merchant , google shopping has been the single most over complicated experience in all of my working with Magento. This extension is significantly better than other options, but it is so poorly documented that it is infuriating.
Some of this problem is not the devleopers, but Google's problem, their merchant center is the slowest, most poorly supported Google Product I have ever used.
I had to make a number of changes to our Robots.txt file to allow Google to spider our site, and after that, it finally accepted one out of 40 products, that are nearly identical except for size variations.
The sync and review process are crazy slow.
Also it should be more clearly document in the extension, not so lost pdf the process for setting up mappings. We sell industrial products that do not have UPC or EAN codes, so creating strong identifies had to happen before we could use this.
