Distribution map
A simple solution to add distribution area as a custom option to a product. Customers will be able to click on the map and create a polygon designating the area of interest, whatever the purpose is.Ideal for direct marketing, electioneering or some other territorial applications.The selection is saved as a polygon and shows in the order details alongside a KML file that can be downloadedand used in other mapping applications. You can extend the solution to connect to these applications directly.It is a very neat extension, requires no programming or theme changes. Add the map as a custom option and configure map sizes in the admin System > Configuration > Google API > Google Maps Settings.
Installation
Configuration tab is under System/Configuration/Google API/Google Maps Settings
The map can be added as a custom option by creating a new custom option with type "field" and appending ***kml*** to the Title. The extension will recognise the ***kml*** suffix and replace the text input with a map.
