Overview

Displaze Protoshow Slideshow

Displaze Slideshow is a free magento extension based on Protoshow which is a free prototype slideshow, it uses the default Magento prototype library so you do not need to included any other third party libraries like jQuery or others, which makes it unique then other similar extensions.

It is well written, and follows strict Magento coding guidelines.

To use Displaze Slideshow in your CMS page use

Usage:

To modify the dimensions of slideshow, you would need to modify the css file under skin/frontend/default/default/displaze/css/slideshow.css

Note:

Extension has not been tested against magento 1.6.x but should work.

Mediocre I was enjoying the functionality of the slideshow but it broke when I set it from "fade" to "slide". It doesn't properly go to the previous slide when I hit previous, it always seems to move forward. If this issue was fixed I would give it a good rating. Until then I will have to go through the code and find out what is wrong. March 18, 2013

Great Great Extension! But there is an small bug. When you wan´t to change the image and the image have the same name like the old one, it not change it also after cleaning the cache. You have to rename the image every time if you wan´t to upload. Do you habe mabe an fix for this issue? THX March 7, 2013

Slide Transition Speed

Answer: 

You can alter the speed by copying the default theme under app/frontend/default/default/template/displaze to app/frontend/default/yourtheme/template/displaze then changing the appropriate value in slideshow.phtml

I've installed the extension and set up a slideshow. How do I add it to my CMS? I tried adding

but that didn't seem to work.
