Rated 1 out of 5 by Dangerous accounting practices Although the OneSaaS app will sync your Magento orders to your accounting system, it does it in a very dangerous way. Instead of importing invoices from Magento and creating matching invoices in Quickbooks, the OneSaaS system looks at the Magento *ORDERS* and creates invoices based on the order. There are many instances where the invoice issued in Magento may be different to the order value, for example a part-despatched order where you have run out of a product and are unable to fulfill. Normally in Magento you would part-ship, and then invoice what you have shipped ... but OneSaaS will create an invoice for the full amount based on the full value of the order. Another example would be orders placed in one VAT quarter, but invoiced in the next ( a common practice where a slow paying account customer places a big order near the end of a VAT period is to ship and invoice at the start of the next quarter, to make sure you are paid before the VAT man has to be paid.) OneSaaS would again build it's Quickbooks invoice based on order date, not the actual Magento invoice date ... dangerous from a VAT point of view. Finally, since OneSaaS is reading Magento orders and not invoices, I have no idea how it tracks credit notes, and I did not experiment with how it tracks edited orders .. I would think it is quite easy to end up with invoices created in Quickbooks for both the original order and the new, edited order if you are not careful ... This is a huge disappointment to me, rather than being a solution to my accounting nightmares, it looks like it could well generate subtle errors that will be hard to track down. I suspect importing invoices and credit notes as a CSV file into Sage or desktop Qucikbooks is going to be a lot safer. July 7, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does what it says I'm using OneSaas to connect Magento CE to Quickbooks Online. They have a nice solution that gets it done. They could use more documentation as you have look around in the backoffice to see what exactly is going on but once you do that, it all becomes pretty self explanatory. It is nice how they integrated the interface into Magento's backoffice so you don't have to log into another website to deal with the day-to-day activities. I tried another connection tool but it wasn't intuitive. OneSaas worked for my needs. September 1, 2013
