Upgrade to version 3.0.0
Trying to update Fontis from vers. 2.5.0 to vers. 3.0.0 I am getting following error: Checking dependencies of packages Starting to download Fontis_Australia-3.0.0.tgz ... ...done: 1,194,690 bytes Installing package community/Fontis_Australia 3.0.0 CONNECT ERROR: Failed to open file C:/wamp/www/magento\downloader\.cache\community\Fontis_Australia-3.0.0\app/code/community/Fontis/Australia/lib/vendor/guzzle/guzzle/tests/Guzzle/Tests/Http/Message/Header/ My magento version is CE 220.127.116.11

"Working" on 1.9.01
I've installed this on a test site then on my site as well. It has options for contact form, product reviews, account creation, contact us and email to friend.
I HAVE ONLY ENABLED IT FOR ACCOUNT CREATION. My review is based on this.
Install went without errors!
If the incorrect captcha is entered during user registration, it displays an error message and remembers the customers first name, last name and email. Extremely convenient.
I have not rated developer support since I did not need to request any. I haven't tested this on anything else because I am only worried about user registration.
Hopefully this review helps someone!

Works fine on 18.104.22.168
I have just installed as a test on a clean install of Magento 22.214.171.124 and it works a treat.
I was all geared up ready to alter the PHP but it worked
straight out of the box.

Works as promised
Thanks to Fontis for making this module freely available - it works perfectly well.
While the module doesn't include cardHolderName and emailAddress, these tags can in fact be added and are then passed on to your NAB Transact account.
Works without problems in Magento 1.8 too.

Doesn't work on 1.8.1
Spent hours trying to get the eparcel quoting set up... and same with the shopping feed functionality. Was sooooo disappointed. Could not get any of the functionality of this module to work in 1.8.1.
The only thing that did work was the bank deposit module - which to be honest can be simply recreated through the existing built in Magento bank deposit payment option.
Big thumbs down to me.

version 2.2.5 doesnot work in Magento C.E. ver. 1.7
The shipping calculator suddenly stopped working after upgrading my site to magento version 1.7.
Reading one of the reviewes here, i came to know that 1.1.2 version of this extension works well in community edition 1.7
I edited it, and solved the problm...

It works .. sort of
I've used this extension for an old website of mine for years - works fine.
The current extension works to a certain extent - if you only need the postcodes/states for shipping and ABN to show, that stuff works. Yes the direct deposit doesn't work very well - but I can use the already existing "bank transfer payment" available on 1.7 CE so it doesn't bother me.
For those with CE 1.7, Australia Post postage calculator does not work for some reason. I've tried everything but it refuses to reveal itself on the frontend. But because this extension still works for my old website, I deleted 2.2.5 and installed the old version of this extension 1.2.2 and voila, the postage calculator FINALLY showed itself on my 1.7 magento website.
Shame, because I really wanted to try the new features in 2.2.5.

works great if your magento is not customised...very rare

2 bugs and their fixes for this extention
A bit of frustration first:
Why developers are not checking for bugs before publishing an extension for public access? Do they not realize that it will lead to anti-advertisement of their company?
Now bug 1: DirectDeposit (and probably others) payment methods are not showing in Order Confirmation and Invoices emails in Payment Method section.
Easy Fix for bug 1:
copy Fontis folder from:
There are a lot of errors are written in X:\var\log\system.log with enabled logging. Errors similar to this:
ERR (3): Warning: simplexml_load_string(): ^ in /usr/local/www/qldguild.org.au/m-store/app/code/core/Mage/Core/Model/Layout/Update.php on line 444
Fix for bug 2:
That happens because during installation of this extension "fontis_australia.xml" has been created as a folder(!). It is located in: X:\app\design\frontend\default\default\layout\fontis_australia.xml
So just delete the folder and create an empty file instead with the same name. (I have no idea what was supposed to be in this file...)
All the best!

Not working in 1.7
Instlled this plug in it seems to work fine in the back end but is no where to be seen on the front end of the site. So pretty pointless plug in!
Iv contact the developers for support and noting, thanks guys...
