Categories' links from Wordpress are never injected to display on magento.
It seems the menus’ links from wordpress are never injected to Magento.
In your source, it tries to inject links into the top navigation by the function ‘protected function _injectLinks($items, $parentNode)’ in file ‘./app/code/community/Fishpig/Wordpress/Model/Menu.php’.
Actually, ‘$item->isItemActive()’ is always return a ‘False’ value.
Since, it might be incorrect to determine whether the link is active or not by such a condition ‘return $currentUrl === $this->getUrl();’ in ./app/code/community/Fishpig/Wordpress/Model/Menu/Item.php, at line#190.
This statement could never return a ‘True’ value.
Open the home url ‘http://www.example.com’, so the ‘$currentUrl’ is ‘http://www.example.com’.
But, a url of menu item from Wordpress certainly is not as the same as the home’s url.

Not working in a stock 1.8 CE?
I have a stock CE 184.108.40.206 running multistore (multidomain) and the installation fails. Manual install leads to fatal errors with missing tables and missing columns in tables. Had to manually remove it.
One example error:
"Error in file: ".../app/code/community/Fishpig/AttributeSplash/sql/attributeSplash_setup/mysql4-upgrade-1.9.5-1.9.6.php" - SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'store_table.page_id' in 'on clause'"

Top Notch Extension
Used extension to do a brand page. Had the right functionality. The lack of documentation is a minor issue since the extension is straight forward.
I had one minor problem with a sort order. They had a new release to me in 24 hrs. This is the kind of support most of us only dream of.

I was looking for a way to blog properly with Magento, and had seen a couple of extensions, but these gave me concerns in terms of SEO. This extension shouldn't have any of these problems as it uses Worpress.
In terms of using it, it is just fantastic, it installs very easily, and is very intuitive to use. Its real trump card is that it fits in so well with the styling of the site. NO extra css work was needed, just install wordpress in a sub directory of magento, install this extension, enter a few database details and you are ready to blog!
A first rate extension, and it's free. Very well done to the developer it's great.

Just doesn't work
So, I've installed this manually rather than using the Magento Connect system.
I've transferred all of the files given in the package but this extension just fails to function.
For a start, within the adminhtml.xml file there's this line of code:
Which fails when a user navigates to Splash > Manage Splash Pages, simply because the developer has failed to add the correct router in the config.xml file. So I've had to change this to:
In order for it to work correctly.
You then load up the page to add a new group, then when after filling in the information and submitting the form you receive:
SQLSTATE: Integrity constraint violation: 1452 Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`*****`.`*****`, CONSTRAINT `FK_ATTRIBUTE_ID_SPLASH_GROUP` FOREIGN KEY (`attribute_id`) REFERENCES `eav_attribute` (`attribute_id`) ON DELETE CASCADE ON UPDATE CASCAD)
Needless to say, I'm not going to waste more time trying to fix this useless extension. I'd rather pay for an extension that functions correctly.

Installed with minimal effort. One slight snag was sorted quick smart with an email to FishPig support. This extension does exactly what it says and is functional and logically thought out.

Great Wordpress/Magento integrator!
Great extension, I've installed WordPress first then installed the extension. Thanks Fishpig!
