Quickview Advanced
Quickview allows you to quickly view and add a product to cart (without opening the product view page). Quickview shows you all the necessary product information in a fancy popup box. It also enables you to add the required quantity of that product to cart through AJAX so that you do not have to navigate backward and forward during shopping. The current status of your cart is displayed on the popup window that tells you the number of items and grand total of cart. Further Quickview allows you to share the product information on various social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Delicious, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Digg, Yahoo etc.

Installation Instructions
In most of the cases the extension should work as it is. However if you face any problem, read following instructions.
This extension overrides the default product listing template. Custom listing template "list.phtml" is present at "app\design\frontend\default\default\template\productbook\product\list.phtml". You can modify it to suit your needs. If your site uses some other custom template for product listing, then please follow below mentioned steps to enable Quickview extension.- Find the anchor tag ("<a>") that wraps the product image in your custom template.
- Add the "id" attribute to this anchor tag in following format: "pb_item_ITEM-ID". Suppose the id if product is 12 so the anchor tag id must look like "pb_item_12".
- Comment out the line no 23 and lines 25-29 in "app\design\frontend\default\default\layout\productbook.xml".

I tried 3 or 4 modules, before I found this one and it is finally working, duh! February 21, 2013Looks as if this extensions is not installed properly - could not find any JS or CSS files, nor any Backend page etc. Also copying some code snippets from one file to another and moving the template folders to a local theme do not have any effect. Using Magento 1.5.1. November 5, 2012This extensions works fine, great job. But There is one problem, my cart doesnt update, i have to refresh the page to see the new items. The plugins just update it's own cart. Please any help ! September 13, 2012Great Extension. But it is not supporting configurable product. What changes i have to make to support in configurable product? July 6, 2012For anyone having issues with this on a custom theme here is what I did to get it working : 1.) Copy the <li> tags from app/design/frontend/default/default/catalog/product/view.phtml to app/design/frontend/<yourtheme>/catalog/product/view.phtml 2.)Copy the code from line 141 onwards from app/design/frontend/default/default/template/catalog/product/view.phtml to app/design/frontend/<yourtheme>/template/catalog/product/view.phtml 3.) uncomment block in app/design/default/default/layout/productbook.xml 4.) edit app/design/default/default/template/productbook.phtml and remove the table rows relating the "Share This Product" section. 5.) Upload to your server and give read permissions (755 or similar). 6.) Clear the cache Then then it works. This extension is excellent for free! Couple of things to note: 1.) CSS is all in file which can be a little annoying if you have this running on multiple websites but not at all a sticking point nor totally unmanagable. 2.) All of the admin sections are totally blank and do nothing (no setting). Again not a major problem as there isn't really much you would want to change. All in all an excellent module if you are willing to jump in the code and get your hand dirty. Will definiately be checking out the developers other modules.
