Cart items preview on mouseover
This extension can be used as a replacement for the 'My Cart' link in the header or as an individual block element. The extension uses the sidebar cart for rendering the summary. Everything can be easily styled by css. Tested with default, modern and custom themes.
This extension will not overwrite any core, template or css files. The javascript effect uses prototype which is part of magento. No other framework is needed.
Installation instructions
You need to have basic knowledge of Magento xml layouts. This extension can replace the built-in 'My Cart' link or any other html element. For details on installation see: Wordpress Blog

It works with 1.5.1 ! The installation instructions aren't the best so want to tell how I managed it. 1. Activate the cart-sidebar in the backend 2. open the checkout.xml in YOUR template folder 3. copy the code between the [...] from the "overview" and paste into your checkout.xml between lt;defaultgt;lt;/defaultgt; - let the rest of the code stay there 4. paste lt;?php echo $this-gt;getChildHtml('cartview_link') ?gt; it into the header.phtml between the quick-access lt;divgt; 5. copy the new css from the default folder into your css folder 6. you can style the most in your style.css 7. if you dislike the left cart now you can paste .col-left .block-cart {display:none;} into your style.css, best @the /* Block: Cart */ chapter here it works: www.menxclusive.de (as long as my customer wants it) August 4, 2011- Q&A
