Overview

ParadoxLabs Gallery

A simple plugin that provides lightbox-based image gallery functionality and a sidebar box that displays a random image. Gallery items are paginated at nine per page, with next and previous links as applicable.  They are sorted by date, with the most recent first.  This can be modified in the provided .phtml files and overridden in your theme.  The plugin will also add a box to your right sidebar, displaying a random image out of the gallery with each page load.

The default URL to access the gallery is: /gallery, and you can specify individual items by ID for a larger view by appending the query string ?t=X where X is the ID number of the item in question.

No guidance this extension is not providing guidance how to use it!! November 25, 2013
Works Fine in 1.7.0.2 Works fine. But is only for one Gallery? I can´t make two o more galleries? thanks October 20, 2013
Please update to 1.7.0.2 Hello, Great plug-ins, Please update to 1.7.0.2. Thank you very much. Modest May 12, 2013
Doesn't work in CE 1.7 I can't seem to get it to work in Magento CE 1.7. Logged out and back in, Cleaned cache, Reindexed, etc. Nother ever showed up in admin. No errors. Just nothing.. Note: my ratings are Average because 1.7 was not in the compatibility list. So it may work just fine in backdated versions. February 24, 2013
Tried and instalation on Magento 1.6.2.0... not working :( February 21, 2012
Works like a charm! But a small issue if you could advice me... I changed the refrence name right to left in gallery.xml so now the imagebox shows in my left column(I do not have a right column) but ONLY on the gallery page. How can I display the imagebox in left column on all pages? August 27, 2011
I just installed this on my test server running 1.5.1 It installed fine after a little conflict with some existing lightbox images. Works as advertised, the gallery is at /gallery and the callup below works, but I find this program a little to basic for my customer's needs. I'll keep it for now as it does have other uses for me, but not as a gallery for the end user. Thanks you ParadoxLabs! June 22, 2011
If lightbox do not work for you, add this line in head.phtml lt;scriptgt;var SKIN_URL='lt;?php echo $this-gt;getSkinUrl('')?gt;';lt;/scriptgt; before lt;?php echo $this-gt;getCssJsHtml() ?gt; June 3, 2011
I'm using 1.5.0.1, and the extension works like a charm. Granted, its a bit generic, and lite on the features, but its awesome of the dev to put this out there, and free no doubt. This and a bit of PHP knowledge will go a long way. To the reviewers prior to myself, be sure to migrate all the files from the "default" folders. Those being... app\design\frontend\default\default\"files in here" skin\frontend\default\default\"files here too" @ thirtytwobit I ran into the same issue, but at that point I had only copied over the "app" related files. Copying over the "skin" related files got me up and running. April 22, 2011
not working, dumps with database error ... blabla Table 'db70030_5.gallery' doesn't exist January 15, 2011

Answer:
The gallery is for the entire site. It does not support multiple galleries. I'm sure it could be tweaked to do so, but it is not part of the current extension.

Answer:
This can be changed in the layout XML, ./app/design/frontend/default/default/layout/gallery.xml. You need to add something like:

<reference name="root"><action method="setTemplate">template>page/1column.phtml</template></action></reference>
