good extension used it on several magento sites and working fine but there were some jquary conflicts with other extensions. April 1, 2014
Perfect one This module for magento is amazing. Just what you can looking for with a banner slider. There is a lot of configuration and theme for the slider. You can prepare you slide for 1 month easily. He will make us earning time .. and time is money. We encounter just a little error with JavaScript. They fixe in 2 hours after we have make the ticket. Work perfect. Thank you magestore. March 24, 2014
The extension and support are great! Thank you for a great extension and the really fast and usefull support! March 18, 2014
Great Extension We opted to install from Magento Connect with the key and all we had to do was logout and log back in and everything was fine. March 17, 2014
Functions as described but... 1- no option to turn off statistics on the banners. With every impression and slide turn an AJAX call to the Magento server is triggered. I don't need it and just generates unnecessary load. I had to remove it in the templates. 2- I don't see why this extension, which is maybe used once a week or month is putting itself into the main navigation. Banner slider is part of content, so why don't you just move it under CMS? Beside of that it does what it says. But like many other extensions disappointing in terms of that it adds so much stuff to the ecosystem as if we really need one more notification module or licensing module. Yet this one does less than others, so still grateful for that. March 12, 2014
Poor Extensions installed OK, but after installation the settings page was unavailable until I'd relogged, which was a bit disconcerting. I can't get the banners to appear for the life of me, I've tried all settings, and instancing options and nothing. All the support forums are 'submit a ticket' so further information is scant. For me this extension has been a waste of precious time. March 5, 2014
Great extension This is an excellent extension for an image carousel. Straightforward functionality, minimal issues. February 20, 2014
Staple for mag great tool, easy to install, A must have tool for all magento store owners. February 19, 2014
Great extention Great extention, simple to use, and its free! I get quick support. Thats very ok. January 13, 2014

Hi, bannerslider works great on almost any platform, but on IE (9) it just shows the banners underneath eachother. Taking up double the space and no slider.

Compatibility view does solve the problem, but not the desired effect :(

    Answer:
I had that, If you change the style to 'Auto Switch' it solves it.

In admin go to System > Configuration > Banner Slider and change the style over. Still works just fine as a slider but 'auto switch' setting also works on Chrome, IE, Firefox, Opera Mobile and Safari on the iPad.

I have created 4 banners. I set 3 to be shown in the homepage, and i added the code to my cms homepage, it works fine. But i am setting 1 banner to be shown in my categories and it does not show anything. Do i need to do something else? perhaps to paste a code somewhere?

    Answer:
For anyone else running into this problem I found this over in the reviews...

Just a quick fix of my last review. Banner for category can be done easily, remove code <!-- and -->, only these two symbols, not the code between, in file app\design\frontend\base\default\layout\bannerslider.xml.

Not sure why that would be commented out by default, but it works.

    Hope that helps, GREAT EXTENSION!!!

First change the "show in" field of the Banner Slider->Manege Sliders->General Information. Make it category. After that uncomment the code in app\design\frontend\base\default\layout\bannerslider.xml. After that run it. It will surely run...

I've installed the extension on Magento 1.7 CE.

I've created a new slider with a single slide and setted to show it in the Homepage TOP CONTENT.

I've a custom theme simply cloned from default/modern theme (bundled with magento) and i've not modified any file.

I only want a slider in the homepage of the store and i've not understood if i have to modify any layot/template to show it.

Actually in the result i see that the extension is injecting the banner slider js and CSS file... but no slider is shown (no html rendered).

I had the same problem last week and it was certainly a cache issue. I removed all cache (magento, firefox, etc), had quitted web navigator and reloaded the page and nothing worked... I come back on the site the day after and it's working O_o

    Answer:
Here's what I'm finding. If you set the start date for an individual banner to the current day, it will not display. If all of your banners are set with a start date of the current day, it will not display any slider.

The start date of the banner needs to be 'yesterday' at the soonest.

    Not a cache issue.

    Answer:
I needed to do this myself, a quick easy way of doing it is to go in to the database and look for the bannerslider table. From here you'll see a record of each banner. You simply change the bannerslider _id value for each banner to the order you want them pulled out, they're pulled out in ascending order i.e 1,2,3 etc - so give the banner you want displayed first the lowest ID.

Installed in 1.6 seems ok with options in system>configuration and a new menu item for banner slider but when I go into manage banners under the new menu there are no banners (as expected as I haven’t loaded any) but when I click on add new banner the back of hose page goes blank only displaying the menu at the top i.e. Dashboard etc. Any ideas what I have done wrong or need to do to get it working?

    Answer:
I managed to get the add banner page to come up by removing line 32 ( $model->setStoreId(Mage::app()->getStore(true)->getId() ) from app/code/community/Magestore/Bannerslider/Block/Adminhtml/Bannerslider/Edit/Tab/form.php"

The problem i now have is the only banner style that seems to work on different browsers is "replacement" which i personal don’t like i really want a slide/switch.

The main problem with the banners is that they appear one on top of the other all at the same time dropping down the page. None of the have the 1,2,3 progress boxes as per the demo (is it possible to have the progress boxes showing on top of the actual banners as per the extension images?).

    Any ides would be great

The slider works fine when setting a position in the admin but if I add the code to a template file with the banner ID I am getting the error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected 'default' (T_DEFAULT) in

    Code in template is:
    <?php echo $this->getLayout()->createBlock(bannerslider/default)->setTemplate(bannerslider/bannerslider.phtml)->setBannersliderId(2)->toHtml(); ?>
