Does the small, essential job of allowing full use of the WYSIWYG editor
I confirm the content of the review of 7 August 2013.
After installation remember to clear the cache and to re-login. Then, the broader file filter can be found uploading files:
- via the link button of the WYSIWYG editor
- via the "insert image" button when the editor is disabled

Works on 220.127.116.11
The extension works, though the documentation is lacking so was tricky to tell it did work. The instructions by the other reviewers made it more confusing as well.
The extension doesn't add the additional filetypes to the "Insert/Edit Image" button, but rather the "Insert/Edit Link" button that becomes active when you have text or an image highlighted in the WYSIWYG editor.
Makes sense once you know where the new filetypes are able to be edited. It is a fairly simple extension which is good as it's pretty easy to modify for additional filetypes if you want.

Solved my issue in like 5 minutes flat
Spent hours trying to figure this out.
This solved it in like 5 minutes.
Lack of documentation is one thing, but you just upload it via the WYSIWIG image uploader.

Einfach installiert und schon macht die Extension was sie soll. Wenn doch immer alles so einfach wäre.

Does not appear to work in 1.7
No additional file types appeared in the media manager in 1.7, zero instructions on their site, so unclear how it is even supposed to work.

Thanks for the great extension. To make it work with uppercase file extensions change te following:
$ext = substr($filename, strrpos($filename, '.') + 1);
$ext = strtolower(substr($filename, strrpos($filename, '.') + 1));
$ext = substr($file->getFilename(), strrpos($file->getFilename(), '.') + 1);
$ext = strtolower(substr($file->getFilename(), strrpos($file->getFilename(), '.') + 1));
