How Beanstalk Giving Supports E-Tailers
We’ve created a cause marketing tool which easily integrates into your checkout process with no impact on IT and Operations and at no cost - so you can stay focused on your core business. This web technology (API) harnesses the power of micro-donations by inviting your customers to round up their change or add an extra dollar to their balance for donation to a charity of their choice. We then aggregate these donations and thousands more from other e-tailer partners in our network, and distribute them to the corresponding non-profits.

Responsibly Sustainable: As all organizations do, Beanstalk Giving has operational costs including developing and maintaining the API, administrative costs associated with distributing funds, etc. To cover these costs, Beanstalk Giving collects 7% of all donations up to and not exceeding our cost of operations. With this model, the more funds raised the lower the contribution per donation. In addition, we highly encourage our e-tailer partners to cover these administrative expenses on behalf of their customers. The initial investment to start Beanstalk Giving was covered through a start-up fund at no expense to our e-tailer partners, donors or charity partners.
Completely secure: The Beanstalk Giving API requires very minimal information to record and track donations. Any information gathered is stored in our secure database and never shared. All donations are collected by the e-tailer and released to Beanstalk Giving on a pre-determined cycle as an aggregated sum for distribution to corresponding charitable organizations.
Native look and feel: Integration into your shopping cart will be seamless. This Magento Extension has flexible parameters allowing it to be completely customized to the layout of your site.
