As with any Google Shopping extension, expect that you may have to do some data entry to be able to send Google info it requires. Our extension make this as painless as possible to format a feed according to Google's full specification.

The features of this extension were driven by an internet marketing expert, not developers. The main goal was to get as close as possible to excellent feed data + zero maintenance once the feed is setup. Google Shopping Feed 4.9 5 52 52
I've started using this on a couple of stores and it works great. Using CE v1.4.2 and v1.6.1. However, I just ran into a problem on my 1.4.2 store. The data feed expiration date is not getting changed. I just realized that I did not set up my cron job on the server we just moved to. Set that up and now everything is working fine. Great job on this extension. January 27, 2012
Installed yesterday. Setup magento cron job. Checked output directory and nothing was generated? Test feed works. So ran 'generate_google_base_feed.php' manually using SSH command, but it outputs the following error: "PHP Warning: require_once(): SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. the script whose uid is 48 is not allowed to access /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/app/code/community/RocketWeb/GoogleBaseFeedGenerator/scripts/../../../../../../app/Mage.php owned by uid 10001 in... " Any ideas what is wrong? No feed file was generated (running Magento ver. 1.5.0.1), also no log file was created. January 27, 2012
I'm running this extension on Magento version 1.4.1.1 - No problems with installation or operation found. Thanks! January 24, 2012
Btw. Google Base is deprecated and replaced by this Core Extension: http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/Magento+Core/extension/6887/mage_googleshopping January 8, 2012
Hi All, Actually Magento Core code has include Google Base Api, just go to code-gt;mage-gt;googlebase-gt;etc-gt;config.xml and uncomment out the config and then you will have a Magento official GoogleBase. Magento wants to implement a full API to use your google merchant login to scheduled upload the products for you. No idea why they keep there but not enable it, maybe they don't want google to take over the business. Most important of all it is official code rather than custom code take a look and write your own code. December 15, 2011
Hi, Great extension, easy to install and works well. However of my 130 products I am only getting 8 coming out in the feed. I have tried comparing the products which are successful with all the others but can't see any difference. Any ideas why this may be? December 9, 2011
Very nice extension, great work. We found two issues in our setup. We submit our feeds to the german google base website. the german feed file needs the "," as decimal delimiter instead of the "." We need the store_code in our product url. bye, gunter November 21, 2011
Greetings! This is a great extension. Installation and set up are as easy as they come. One issue however - like others, i'm having a problem generating a feed of my full catalog (~5700 products). I get a Internal Server Error. I've changed memory limit in php.ini with no success. Also removed php.ini file and still no luck - get the memory limit exhausted in ...Varien/controller.php. Is there another way to generate the data feed that allows me to bypass this memory limit? October 28, 2011
Great extension. So far it's been easy to set up and use. I'm just having one issue and then we'll be rocking and rolling. The links in my feed have the .html extension but my store doesn't use them. Is there some way to drop the .html from the links? October 23, 2011
Hi thank you fro this extension. Getting hte following error in our live installation (multistore) but not in the development installation (single store). Any ideas? Fatal error: Call to a member function setStoreId() on a non-object in (shop route)/app/code/community/RocketWeb/GoogleBaseFeedGenerator/Model/Generator.php on line 43 October 10, 2011

Is the license based on number of Magento installs? Or by the number of stores on the same Magento install?

Answer:
This is licensed per Magento install. So if you have 100 stores views in a single Magento install that's one license. If you have 2 stores, each with separate Magento admin login locations, that's 2 licenses.

I did't get the place where I will enter google credentials (account id and password).
I searched on internet they mention the steps:
1) select System > Configuration
2) under Sales, select the Google API tab.
3) Click to expand the Google Shopping section.

but i did't get google shopping section in magento.
I am using Magento CE-1.7.0.2.
So without google credentials , How this extension link products with google.

Thanks.

Answer:
Our extension does not use the Google API but rather generates a text based feed on your server. This feed can then be updated via cron on a nightly basis. When you log into Google Merchant Center you can then point Google to this feed and tell it to fetch the feed each day as well.
