Overview

Google Shopping Feed

Google Shopping Feed from Rocket Web is the only recommended solution for Google Shopping in the January 2014 Magento Search Engine Optimization book from Packt Publishing.

New videos! Checkout our extension page for General Configuration and Apparel Configuration videos.

Simply put this is the most advanced, feature rich extension for Google Shopping in existence. If you don't just want to get some of your products, somewhere in Google Shopping listings but rather want to do everything you can to dominate Google Shopping, this is the extension for you. Installation and configuration help is available from an expert.

This extension meets international requirements and all specifics for apparel products as well.

As with any Google Shopping extension, expect that you may have to do some data entry to be able to send Google info it requires. Our extension make this as painless as possible to format a feed according to Google's full specification.

The features of this extension were driven by an internet marketing expert, not developers. The main goal was to get as close as possible to excellent feed data + zero maintenance once the feed is setup. Plan to invest a few hours to watch our videos, read documentation and work with your store's catalog data. Or you can contract Rocket Web to do this for you. Either way, this may very well be your best investment of the year. Installation instructions, videos and extensive documentation is available on the product page for Rocket Web's Google Shopping Feed for Magento extension.

All set up but now have a problem with submission of grouped products. The feed contains a sum of all items within the grouped product instead of just listing lowest price, anyone having the same issue? Any thoughts? Thanks September 16, 2012
Works here with 1.7.0.2, so far no issues. Keep up the great work. September 4, 2012
Works perfectly for me (Germany). Was searching a long time for a good solution to generate the google feeds. for google merchant center - don't know why I didn't find this Extension. Not only grat functional range (configuration in admin) but also a very good documentation! Nearly thrilled! ConFX August 26, 2012
I can't get the feed to generate. Cron is running every 5 minutes as verified in my /var/log/syslog Someone please tell me what I need to do to get cron to pick up the script. Thanks. August 1, 2012
not show in menu products "Google base" July 20, 2012
Hi there, My feed is targeted at the UK and Google are rejecting the feed because there is no [shipping] attribute specified. This URL: http://support.google.com/merchants/bin/answer.py?hl=enamp;answer=188494#GB (under [shipping]) explains that it is a required attribute for the US, UK, Germany, France. I'm confused by which attribute to use as the requirement from Google is that the colon-delimited values are required (eg GB::Royal Mail:4.12 GBP,GB::Courier:10.00 GBP). Any help would be most welcome. Thanks for the great extension. July 4, 2012
Extension worked great until 5 days ago. Now I get the error; Feed generation not allowed; too many products. There are only 235 products. What is going wrong? June 26, 2012
Hi, I am not a PHP developer but had to work on Magento website. I have installed the Google Base Feed Generator. There are around 1400 products. Most of them are bundled products and associated simple products are not visible individually. I have set Use Batch Segmentation to Yes. And I have set up cron job script. The script is php -f education-furniture.com/html/app/code/community/RocketWeb/GoogleBaseFeedGenerator/scripts/generate_google_base_feed.php From past 1 week it has generated the feed for only 180 products and for the same set of products. How to make it generate for all the products in the website? Please help me in this regards. Thanks, Divya R June 25, 2012
Hello I have been trying for few days to get this extension to work correctly for multi store, when it runs it adds products from both Store A and Store B I create separate generate_google_base_feed.php for each store and create seperate cron jobs in CPanel still when the feeds run they have products from both stores. When the feed runs it does not add all the products too, I really need some help on this as it's a great extension, best I have tried from a few would really appreciate any advice. Regards June 21, 2012
Hi there, I am using Google Base Feed Generator extension in my magento website - version 1.6.2 http://www.priddi.co.uk/ We have more than 1000 SKUs at the moment. While clicking the ‘Generate Feed’ button, getting an alert message and there is no feed generating. Error getting :: “Feed generation will not allowed, too many products. Magento Cron will create the feed on a nightly basis. For testing purpose please use test button below.” I have also tried by selecting the ‘Use Batch Segmentation ‘ option to YES and limit set as 1000. But still the same error. I have cleared the all type of Cache every time when I am having any changes in the admin panel. Also set cron job to generate the feed, still no luck… Please help me on this issue. Thanks in advance Kannan June 7, 2012

Is the license based on number of Magento installs? Or by the number of stores on the same Magento install?

Answer:
This is licensed per Magento install. So if you have 100 stores views in a single Magento install that's one license. If you have 2 stores, each with separate Magento admin login locations, that's 2 licenses.

I did't get the place where I will enter google credentials (account id and password).
I searched on internet they mention the steps:
1) select System > Configuration
2) under Sales, select the Google API tab.
3) Click to expand the Google Shopping section.

but i did't get google shopping section in magento.
I am using Magento CE-1.7.0.2.
So without google credentials , How this extension link products with google.

Thanks.

Answer:
Our extension does not use the Google API but rather generates a text based feed on your server. This feed can then be updated via cron on a nightly basis. When you log into Google Merchant Center you can then point Google to this feed and tell it to fetch the feed each day as well.

I'm getting a "404 page not found" error when I try to enter the tab of the plugin in Systems >> Configuration.

I've followed the instructions provided and replaced the files via FTP and I've also flushed the cache. Can you please advise what I need to do to fix this issue.

Answer:
Yes, this can happen sometimes when installing extensions. If you log out of the admin and log back in, the issue should fix itself.
