Generate and Import Coupons

If you would like or need to create a lot of coupons based on the same conditions and actions, you will need to create a very large number of identical shopping cart rules. And it is pretty much the same story when you use deal hosting services like Groupon. Our customers, who kindly sponsored us with the idea of the extension, were very insistent that creating the same rule a thousand or more times is ... let's say 'no fun'.
Generate and Import Coupons enables you to have multiple coupons codes per shopping cart price rule, so you will not need to recreate the same rule many times. And as you've guessed from the title, it will let you import and generate thousands of coupons literally within seconds.
In addition, you can also export the generated and imported coupons, for example to distribute the list of coupons among your affiliates or sales staff, who in their turn can pass the coupons on to customers.
For versions prior to Magento CE 1.4.1.1 we only offer a script that allows to import coupons (not generate).

Coupons usage report. NEW!
Groupon requires its partners to provide coupons usage report including shipping tracking number. Now the module enables you to generate and export such reports into CSV format. For your convenience, it is possible to filter coupons by a certain shopping cart rule to get usage information only for a particular promotion. Also you can filter the report by order ids, coupon codes, shipping tracking numbers and other data. Coupons usage report works both for manually added coupons and imported ones.Have multiple coupon codes per shopping cart price rule.
This is very convenient, as you will not need to create the same rule many times just to have multiple codes for it.Import coupon codes to shopping cart price rules.
You can import unlimited number of coupons from a CSV file, so if you host deals on websites like Groupon, you won't need to waste hours or even days to create thousands of shopping cart price rules. We did experiments with thousands of coupons codes - it took a couple seconds. Imported coupons inherit values of 'Uses per Coupon' and 'Uses per Customer' parameters from the main coupon.Generate multiple coupon codes per rule.
The coupons are generated based on templates that you create. You can use a separate template each time. Generation algorithm will replace 'L' and 'D' symbols used within the templates with random letters and digits. You can generate thousands of coupons in one go, as we did while testing the extension, and it would take just moments. Generated coupons inherit values of 'Uses per Coupon' and 'Uses per Customer' parameters from the main coupon.Edit and delete each individual coupon code.
By default coupon codes are generated and imported according to the setup of the main coupon, however you can edit 'Uses per Coupon' and 'Uses per Customer' parameters and the code itself for each coupon. Also you can delete individual coupons.Export coupon codes.
You can also export coupon codes. The output file will contain not only the coupon codes themselves, but also values of 'Uses per Coupon', 'Uses per Customer' and 'Times Used' for each code. You can provide this information to your affiliates and/or sales representatives, who in their turn can distribute the coupons among the customers.Coupons via URLs.
With the help of the extension you can easily create links like http://yourwebsite.com/any-landing-page.html?coupon=XYZ-987, by clicking which customers will get coupons applied automatically. This will work great for promotional banners. Also you can place the discount links on your affiliate sites, so that your promotions attract a much larger audience and you get more profit.High performance.

February 23, 2012We bought this extension yesterday and found it easy to install and implement. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. We have 3 group deals happening and wouldn't have been able to properly execute without this extension. November 3, 2011I must say that this module made life easier when you work with groupon. We had a big thought how to resolve importing 3000 coupon every week from groupon, and this module really made the job. Alex also give fantastic support if you have any quetion. Tested on Magento 1.5 and 1.6 and it works on both. Small tip: If you get 3000 codes from groupon, in an exel sheet, and wonder how to convert them to "," separated, do like this. Mark and Copy all codes from exel seet, then open a new email, and paste all codes into the reciever name..wips you have all codes as "," separated, then mark all codes from the email reciever name, and paste them into the cart roule in magento:) October 16, 2011- Q&A
