Good value extension Couldn't get it to work on 1.9.0.1 until I followed the instructions on http://duntuk.com/magento-google-shopping-setup as suggested by previous reviewer, then fine. You need to spend time researching and mapping the Google required fields to get it accepted. Submitting the configurable product URL for the individual simple child products would be a massive benefit. Currently Google shopping only links to one colour and size, with no option on your site to select an alternative from that page, unless in related products. You need to set each simple product to visibility: "catalog", although they don't need to be set to "search" or in a category for Google to link to the item. It seems as if Magento has forgotten about this extension, that's a great pity! September 14, 2014
Works perfectly Worked perfectly as described! I don't know why other people are having issues. Perhaps they have other extensions that are messing with it. September 12, 2014
Lots of trouble setting up/doesn't work After two days of testing we have not been able to get this running correctly. We were able to transfer data to google shopping, but it was rejected every time due to various errors. Unfortunately, there are no settings which could even help us adjust anything about the errors. Maybe it has something to do with our huge amount of heterogenous products, e.g. several attribute sets. Not working properly for us@CE 1.9. 2/5 Stars. June 18, 2014
Quite + good After (complex) set up , i had to modify a little /core/mage/googleshopping/helper/price.php because i wanted to use the extension to show for GROUPED products the HIGHEST price of the groupe instead of the "from price". Just had to replace "<" with ">" in line 67 <code>if ($this->getCatalogPrice($subProduct) > $minPrice || $minPrice === null) {</code> i encountered several difficulties to add products in mass. Above 20 products in same time, the module froze and kept showing the turning (busy) icon and the mention "Google Shopping synchronization process is running" . Had to make a sql reset of the module with this command : <code>update core_flag set state='0' where flag_code='googleshopping';</code> But now i'm glad to have found your module. Good job ! Works on latest CE This extension works on the latest version of Magento CE 1.9.0.1. It does everything it's supposed to, so I do not understand the negative reviews. ? =/ May 26, 2014
Please send me the files I have used this extension with great satisfaction! Now i updated to a clean Magento 1.8.1 install. Tried to copy the files from old install, but can't get it to work. Could you please send me a zip with the extension files so i can manually install the module? Regards! March 27, 2014
Works Great! Hi! Dont know if there is developer support. Anyway works fine on latest Magento Community. Thanks. March 8, 2014
Awesome! Thanks so much! I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews when this thing functions and works great--even for 1.8.1. Maybe it's all the companies that are selling the same thing for $120 and they want this free Magento add on around. You do have to be familiar with Google Merchant center (formerly Base) and how Magento's attributes line up with Google's. If you do, no problem. Great extension! Thanks! February 27, 2014
Tricky Configuration It took me 3 hours of reading the merchant api documentation, looking at the configuration screens, tweaking settings and reviewing notifications & the merchant API dashboard before I got this working - but now that it's up it works great! Tips: Catalog > Google Content > Manage Attributes You have to setup attributes for the attribute set that is listed for your products on the items, which you can figure out by looking at the `Attrib. Set Name` column on the Items page (Catalog > Google Content > Manage Items). The required attributes must be mapped, the trickiest part of this is identifying the SKU (mpn), Brand and or UPC (gtin). I ended up creating a custom attribute for the brand and used the sku for the mpn. It's also quite useful to refer to the google merchant API Dashboard once you start attempting to add products - the plain Jane text is replace by a flash dashboard with very helpful information once you start making api calls to your account. Good Luck! February 23, 2014

    Hi,

I am using this aplication and works fine.
My attribiutes are mapped properly and are shown in google.
What is really annoying is how my items (added to google) are named in back end.
    I am selling watches.
For example I have 1000 of DKNY watches and I want this 1000 in google.
    Single watch has:

    ID: 123
    NAME: DKNY
    MODEL: NY4331

I transfer them to google but no id,sku, model number is shown on list of product added to google content in “Google Content Items"(back end).
It is all fine in google merchant account.
So if I want to remove certain product I have to go blind or remove all DKNY watches and add again excluding what I do not want to add.

Why only name of product is listed in back end in
Google Content/Menage Items/ “Google Content Items”?
Why not make search same as back end product search?
Is there any upgrade to it?

    Thank you

    Fixes and Updates

When I sync my products it doesn't fix the expiration date.

Is the tool going to get better? It's a little outdated.

How can we choose the proper categories?

Is there a way to map such as what other tools have.

We want to use the API, but sync timeouts, sometimes not working, and not mapping categories makes this feature very hard to use. We have thousands of products that sell hourly so API always seemed to be the best road.

Please any information would be great and would even get paid support to help.

Hi, I've been using this great extension for months. But a few months ago my feed file on google merchant has dissappeared.

Extension is updated, configuration is ok and checked...

I think I'd never had to manually add a feed on google merchant...

On magento, everything seems to be ok. All products added and syncronized and added to my google shopping account.

    What can I do?

    Thank you

I have installed the Google Content Api.

Every thing is working as expected.

But when I go for adding the products to "Add to google content"

The both "submit" buttons icon keep on showing rotating icon and a message "Google Shopping synchronization process is running" at the top.

After some moments the page reload and no product add.

I have done a lot of search but no fruits.
