Google Content API for Shopping

Google has retired its old Google Base Data API and replaced it with its new Google Content API for Shopping to let back-end staff more effectively upload and manage product and catalog information. This extension allows developers to migrate their eCommerce stores into the new API to ensure that they come up in Google searches.

The product “product name” hasn’t been added to Google Content. No products were added to Google Content Please suggest any ideas on how to get this working March 12, 2012

Completely broke up my store too. Interestingly, i found this out http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento-connect/feed-manager-version-1-1-3.html Sends feeds to Google, Thefind, SortPrice, Bing, Shopzilla, Shopmania, etc. They create facebook stores too. Finally solved some issue and able to send info to google api , But google api does not have whitelist on my account , I send email to request allow whitelist , but they say NO without any explain ! So this module work for nothing February 6, 2012

I have an irritating issue with this. I am trying to map the Google Description field to the Meta Description field as this provides a more concise description for shoppers. I have created the customer attribute, but when I check the item in Merchant Centre, the full description field is displayed. Anyone had a similar issue. Running 1.6.1.0 in UK settings. Hello,

I've been using your Google Content API extension from its early days, quite happy with it. However, when I installed its latest version on Magento v1.7.0.1, I'm getting this "...Unable to connect to Google Content. Please, check Account settings in configuration.Error: Authentication with Google failed. Reason: BadAuthentication" error although all account settings are correctly set in config. Do you know anything about this problem?

I think it is worth mentioning that I've been able to add products to Google Shopping using that same Google account but using different extension (which actually uses an online service for submitting to google and other comparison shopping sites), so I don't think the problem might be in the Google account itself.

Any help or insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have been trying to get this google shopping extension to work for days now. I am now getting the code below in my log file. Has anyone ran into this on CE 1.7.0.2?

Why can I not select "Custom" under Google Product Category?

Why is it no possible to choose "Custom" under the Google Attribute set mapping.

I now can only select from this list:

Apparel & Accessories
Apparel & Accessories - Clothing
Apparel & Accessories - Shoes
Media - Books
Media - DVDs & Videos
Media - Music
Software - Video Game Software
Other

However Google also has a group Custom for custom made products that don't need to contain any id's (UPC, EAN, JAN or MPN).

My problem now is that when I sync, my products in Google Shop, it gives me error's back because the Id's are not valid.

Is there any solution to fix this or is there a workaround ?
