Google Content API for Shopping

Google has retired its old Google Base Data API and replaced it with its new Google Content API for Shopping to let back-end staff more effectively upload and manage product and catalog information. This extension allows developers to migrate their eCommerce stores into the new API to ensure that they come up in Google searches.

I changed account type to Google. From Hosted and google. Then Captcha went through. Now I have to have google whitelist my site. July 7, 2012

Captcha is very difficult to read and adding products to the feed does not work with version 1.6.1.0 . I tried one product and then was directed to an error page. June 27, 2012

Not quite sure what's up with these "google content attributes". I'm getting the same issues as everyone else. attributes all set, then I go to submit a product and then see the "Google Shopping synchronization process is running" message, which refreshes the page, but there are no products that have been added to Google Content. anybody got any solutions for this please :( May 30, 2012

Cannot access Configuration -gt; Wyomind -gt; SimpleGoogleShopping, it gets a "404 Page not found" message within the div where the extension interface is supposed to appear. Any idea? May 27, 2012

For those having trouble with this I believe the Google Base Feed Generator (free extension) is much more reliable although it requires slightly more of a manual input... May 21, 2012

Hello,

I've been using your Google Content API extension from its early days, quite happy with it. However, when I installed its latest version on Magento v1.7.0.1, I'm getting this "...Unable to connect to Google Content. Please, check Account settings in configuration.Error: Authentication with Google failed. Reason: BadAuthentication" error although all account settings are correctly set in config. Do you know anything about this problem?

I think it is worth mentioning that I've been able to add products to Google Shopping using that same Google account but using different extension (which actually uses an online service for submitting to google and other comparison shopping sites), so I don't think the problem might be in the Google account itself.

Any help or insight into this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have been trying to get this google shopping extension to work for days now. I am now getting the code below in my log file. Has anyone ran into this on CE 1.7.0.2?

Any advise or hacks on fixing this?

Why can I not select "Custom" under Google Product Category?

Why is it no possible to choose "Custom" under the Google Attribute set mapping.

I now can only select from this list:

Apparel & Accessories
Apparel & Accessories - Clothing
Apparel & Accessories - Shoes
Media - Books
Media - DVDs & Videos
Media - Music
Software - Video Game Software
Other

However Google also has a group Custom for custom made products that don't need to contain any id's (UPC, EAN, JAN or MPN).

My problem now is that when I sync, my products in Google Shop, it gives me error's back because the Id's are not valid.

Is there any solution to fix this or is there a workaround ?
