This extension fully caches the pages and, without initializing Magento, provides your visitors with ready output that takes significantly less time to load. It also deflates the size of the Java Script code on your website, which contributes to the faster page rendering. As a result the extension lowers the server load, which means your server can handle more visitors simultaneously.
With this extension, your customers will enjoy higher performance, and you will benefit from lower server load and higher conversion rate.
Magento Booster features:
- Completely and efficiently caches the pages of the visitors areas (i.e. the areas your store visitors see and browse before they log in);
- Dynamic blocks such as Recently Viewed, Random Products and Random Reviews are cached upon the visitor’s first view;
- Dynamic blocks that require interactivity with the shopper, like Compare, Cart, Wishlist, are not cached;
- Compresses Java Script;
- Significantly lowers the server load;
- Allows for faster page rendering (up to 10 times faster performance for visitors);
- Admin can choose whether to cache dynamic blocks;
- Clears cache when a new product is added;
- Clears cache when a product goes from Disabled to Enabled, or when the product status is changed to In Stock;
- Partially clears cache upon the following events:
- when the product is edited;

- Temporarily blocks search engine bots during critical load peaks;
- Disables dynamic content during critical load peaks and lets Admin choose whether to not display dynamic content blocks at all or have them replaced with placeholder text;
- Enables Admin to redistribute (by sleep ()) server resources among types of pages (Catalog, CMS, Search, Cart and Checkout, Other) depending on their importance during critical load peaks;
- Limits server resources based on shoppers’ priority (guest or logged-in, contents of the shopping cart);
- Offers the shoppers to play a flash game while the store is not available (Tetris by default, but Admin can add games via CMS);
- Allows for users to enter their e-mail to be notified when the store is available;
- Sends out an e-mail notification (with an optional discount) to users who wish to be notified when the store is back up.
- Please note that caching is turned off by default for a specific user after s/he adds an item to cart.
- The extension doesn’t affect the way your Admin Panel functions.

Performance Booster 15 15DO NOT UPGRADE TO 2.2.0, it will break your store. 3 separate stores were brought down by upgrading... December 21, 2011This addon is okay, it definitely speeds up your magento site, HOWEVER: 1) It does not support multiple templates based on browser, all users will see the first CACHED template, this causes problems if your first visitor to cause a cache refresh is an iphone user. 2) It does not support merging CSS fully, if you go to a SSL page after the css has been generated and cached you get an insecure content warning. I had to modify the code to get this working (same issue as reported in Magento 1.4 - please send me a message for the fix) 3) Installation is a complete pain, I bought a 3 site licence for this, yet got a warning on my second install saying I had used 1/3 licences and my licence was not valid... November 21, 2011It didn't work for me at all. There no performance improvement at all, and it corrupted my Magento installation. I carefully followed the installation instructions, step by step, including backing up the files AITOC suggested before installation. When I realized it had caused me serious problems, I followed their uninstall directions, and restored the files I had backed up, but that did not repair the damage to my site. In order to fix my site, I had to restore from a much earlier backup, which of course meant that I had to replace additional work that had been done since then. I contacted AITOC about the problem, and offered to pay their installation fee if they would install the program without causing damage to my site. I received no response from them about this. Instead, I discovered they had simply refunded the transaction. Kudos to them for the prompt refund, but it was disheartening that they were unwilling to stand behind their product to make it work as advertised, or to at least communicate about it, even to just explain that they were issuing a refund. I had considered that it would be a pleasure to work with AITOC on my Magento, because they offer so many different extensions. This should, in theory, avoid potential conflicts between extensions, and would at the very least prevent the problem that occurs when support departments all point at the other guy as the one causing the problem. But I didn't even get off the ground with my first purchase from them. Very disappointed. February 15, 2011this has to be, along with another extension (Shopping Cart Editor v2.0.3) I purchased from them, is the best one ever wish I found it years ago! it speed it up brilliantly! I was starting to doubt using magento after installing it for customers for years and having issues with speed and using free speed extensions and other tedious methods, but now, I am keener than ever!
