Easy Banner Extension by MageWorld
I give this extension 4/5 stars. It's pretty good and stable and I've been using it for over 2 years without a problem. Install was easy from what I can remember. My only frustration is the limited controls. I wanted to make a few changes to the way it cycles, for example; I set a high delay for the banner to create a long fade effect between slides. However, I wanted no delay when manually selecting a slide. I just wanted it to immediately snap to whatever slide is selected without having to wait for the long fade effect. But this wasn't possible with this extension out of the box because the lite version of the JQuery Cycle Plugin is missing the "fastOnEvent" control along with many others. To be specific, this extension uses JQuery v.1.3.2 along with the JQuery Cycle Plugin (http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/) which are both free. The cycle plugin comes in two flavors 1. The full plugin with all of the controls (http://malsup.github.com/jquery.cycle.all.js) and 2. The lite plugin which is a stripped down version but has a smaller file size (http://malsup.github.com/jquery.cycle.lite.js). I copied the full version to notepad and its file size is 51.5kb and the lite version is a only 7.58kb. However, file size alone isn't enough to justify the difference in my opinion. So I replaced all of the content for .cycle with the full version and I'm much happier now.. So if you install this extension and you want more control I suggest you do the following: replace everything in /skin/frontend/default/default/js/simpleslider/jquery.cycle.js with this http://malsup.github.com/jquery.cycle.all.js
Other than that, Great Extension!
Don't waste your time on the free ones, I did and most of them are glitchy.

We recently bought this extension, but it was in conflict with another one we bought.
I contacted MageWord crew and they fixed it.

I purchased this extension recently. Oeverall it works well, but there needs to be some improvements,
1. User should be able to pause a slide while viewing it
2. Mouse hover over the thumbnail should result in slide switch.
After all the it's all for better customer experience, isn't it?
