Overview

ASchroder.com SMTP Pro Email - Free and Easy Magento Emailing for SMTP, Gmail or Google Apps email.

This extension provides complete control of Email settings for Magento. It can send with any custom SMTP server, your GMail or Google Apps account and now in version 1.4.3 your Amazon AWS Simple Email Service account.

For SMTP you can specify authentication methods from None, Login, Plain or CRAM-MD5. You can choose to secure the connection with SSL or TLS, or disable secure connections completely. The host and port are configurable.

The extension includes a self test option, which lets you verify your settings are correct and it works with Magento Newsletters, two features you may not find in other, older, SMTP extensions.

This extension is now the combination of my SMTP Pro extension and the Gmail + Google Apps extension. For SMTP it handles everything from SMTP server authentication with MD5-CRAM to TLS and SSL connections. For Google Apps and Gmail it offers the same stupidly simple setup as always. The extension itself now supports several new features, such as suppressing emails and sending development mode emails to a single inbox, sending from multiple different gmail/google accounts and now email logging.

Awesome plugin, always though that magento lacked a good way to test your email settings September 16, 2011

Great - simple, easy to setup and now it just works... I get the mails as hoped - but I still got the massage: ASchroder.com SMTP Pro Self-test results Testing outbound connectivity to Server: Using SMTP configuration options Connection to Host SMTP server successful. Sending test email to your contact form address ...@gmail.com: Test email was sent successfully. Contact Form test email did not use SMTPPro to send. cant get this to work on 1.5.1.0 . I install and get the admin interface no problem but when i run te hself test i get no data received Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data. there are no logs in teh email log im using the following setup: googlea apps / gmail use store email addresses for reply to - NO Dev MOde disbled log al messages yes The i have the correct email address adn password in the googel apps settings section ive tried setting it all in the smtp setting section also with various settings and get nothing June 30, 2011

Is there going to be any support for this awesome extension for 1.7? I'm trying to install it but get this error...

once i force it over that error i get this error

Answer: 

Looks like the key is to

1. disable compiler
2. make sure all cache is turned on
3. install via connect
4. turn compiler back on.

Now I just need to figure out where in the Admin area this is suppose to show up.

More than one outgoing email?

Great extension, thank you!

We send a newsletter monthly using a GMail address. GMail limits outgoing emails per user per day. Inevitably, sending our newsletter shuts down our email for a few days at a time while we reach our limit. Is there any way to configure your extension for a second (newsletter only) outgoing address?
