WPMU + Buddpress Unforturinetly for me, this didn't hold up to what was needed. If you have a WPMU install with buddpress, and it's the root of the site, and Magento is a subdomain, under a subdirectory, then you have no way to use this right. It's good in theorie for simple sites, but where you have two robust installs , WPMU + Buddypress and Magento, it fails. I was really hoping to get to use the theme and save me some work here. Maybe this type of set up will be supported later but for now it fall short of accounting for it. I hope that later I can see that for the blog route I'll be able to use domain.tld where the magento is store.domain.tld, so simple putting blog for a router is SEO unwise and not viable. Great extension, awesome support! Ben talked me through all of my questions and I had a lot of them because I am very new to this. Great extension. Works perfectly. June 14, 2013
Doenst work with Plugins hello, Well I installed your Magento WordPress module and it doesn't work as stated :( "The extension also supports a large selection of WordPress plugins for free and others with add-on extensions. Out of the box you can configure your blog's SEO using WordPress Yoast SEO, use Yarpp to display related posts, ShareThis to display social icons and many other valuable WordPress plugins." It doesn't work at all with Yoast SEO which is a must and definitely doesn't work with any caching plugins namely W£ Total Cache.. extremely disappointed. Is there a fix?? June 10, 2013
Wordpress giving 404 error. Hi All, For the passed week since i have successfully integrated WP and Magento together. And Everything was fine till right now. All of a sudden my auto login doesn't seem to be working any more and i cannot access the wp-admin account directly either. www.domain.com/wp/wp-admin/options.php The first time this happened i re-installed wordpress and it was back to normal. The second time this happened i renamed my .htaccess file to .htaccess.sample and it worked fine. But now i feel the issue is something else. Ive also noticed my Magento Connect Manager is giving me the same issue. www.domain.com/downloader/ Note: Magento is pulling to blog from the database to the frontend. So this section is fine. Any one expereince this issue before? or have any suggestions that i could try? Note: I have a feeling sumthing is going wrong with my re-writes or .htaccess is cancelling out access to the those links. May 18, 2013
invalid block type error After succesfully installing and setting the extension everything looks great in the backend. But on teh frontend magento webshop pages do not load completely. The blog front end works fine though. I am getting this error message in the log files: ERR (3): exception 'Mage_Core_Exception' with message 'Invalid bloktype: Mage_Wordpress_Block_Post_List_Recent' in /domains/cliphair.nl/public_html/app/Mage.php:594 I checked everything, reinstalled the extension but still same error. Amazing - from a seasoned WordPress dev I have been working with WordPress for several years and only recently started using Magento for proper full functioning e-commerce sites and found this WordPress Extension by Ben (from http://fishpig.co.uk/) and can't recommend this highly enough! Who's this extension for? If you want to get a new or existing WordPress set up running and most importantly integrated within Magento so you can pull blog posts into Magento easily, auto link to blog posts from within Magento categories / products. Also just to reiterate, Ben's support is first class and that's even for this free extension. May 13, 2013
Great Module / Great Developer I've used this module a couple of times, and it's great. The integration between Magento and Wordpress is seamless and highly usable. Being able to associate products to posts, and posts to products, is a huge plus. The developer is also great to work with. I emailed a request for a small feature enhancement, and it was actually in the code the next day! I highly recommend this module, and the developer as well! May 7, 2013
very nice... A bit tricky but easy to figure out with included instructions. Customizing and adding additional wordpress plugins another story. Still toying with capabilities but enjoy this plugin. April 17, 2013

Answer:
Go to magento admin panel, under CATALOG > URL REWRITE MANAGEMENT, simply add custom url rewrite.

On "request path" just add a slash "/" and at "target path" add your wordpress homepage url.

Answer:
To achieve this you should install the Root add-on:

http://fishpig.co.uk/magento/wordpress-integration/root/

This will allow you to remove the /blog/ from all of your blog URLs. It also includes the option to automatically replace your Magento homepage with the homepage of your integrated WordPress blog.

Our website utilizes your extension, and after updating our magento theme, the blog still uses our old theme.

Just wondering if there is a way to update or reimport the magento theme to reflect the changes we made.

Thanks!

Answer:
The integrated blog uses your Magento theme. If you update your Magento theme, these updates will be passed to the blog. If this isn't happening, this means that either things are being cached (try refreshing the cache) or that something isn't configured correctly.

Answer:
To disable comments you have 2 options:

1) Login to your WordPress Admin and select Settings > Discussion. From here you can disable comments globally.
2) Edit a post/page in the WordPress Admin and disable comments for the post/page. If the discussion section isn't displaying, click the 'Screen Options' tab at the top of the page and check the box next to 'Discussion'.

I also recommend upgrading the extension to the latest version.

Your Overview page says:
"Use your Magento theme for your WordPress blog"

I have Wordpress and the extension installed and all appears to be working well but it's still using the default WP theme. Where do I set it to use the Magento theme? I've read through all the documentation on your fishpig site and nowhere is this feature mentioned.

Thank you.

With the latest version of the extension, you can enable theme integration in the configuration area of the extension. This is enabled by default. If this isn't working, the extension isn't configured properly.

Hi,

is this extension designed to use the WordPress pingback/trackback feature? We're using it and it's not working. Maybe there is a common mistake we did?
